Today was one of the days where she didn't feel like talking in the slightest. She was tired. She had yet another nightmare and was woken up by Miss Greene and Mrs Smithers shaking her awake, with all the other girls stood by her bunk, all tired but worried.

She hated it, she hated it a lot actually. How physically she was safe from those monstrous men that were in her past, but how nothing could stop them from getting her in her sleep. Her mind was her worse enemy, and since she was too afraid to sleep again once everyone had left, she took refuge from her nightmares in the form of music, which just so happened to be a mixture of Fifth Harmony and Taylor Swift.

She was sat in the kitchen along with the other girls for breakfast. She was barely getting through one slice of toast, where as everyone else was eating like it would be their last breakfast ever. Mrs Henning, the main cook of the house along with Miss Hart, took a lot of pride in their cooking. Together they were responsible for feeding the 22 girls in the household, making sure everyone was fed and happy, resulting in so much food that they even made to much food for 22 people on some days, but they enjoyed seeing the girls happy.

Which was why they were finding it hard to watch Charlotte struggle through one piece of toast for more than one reason.

She managed to eat it though it took her ten minutes, and it took everything in her to not throw up. But she managed and headed back to her room, crawling back onto her bed and laying on her stomach, looking at the door. She really did wonder what it would be like to not be her. To have a Mom and Dad still, to not be haunted by memories, to be normal. But there was no use dreaming about something that would never happen. She was better off dreaming about becoming famous or marrying a superstar, because that was more likely to happen compared to being able to call someone Mom again.

With a loud sigh she hid her face under her pillow and closed her eyes, feeling a little more safe about drifting off into a sleep if it was day light, so she did.

"Come one Charlotte, Lizzy is here!" Olivia's sweet voice sounded by her ear. "Then tell her to cuddle with me." She mumbled into the pillow. She was closest with Elise, which is why at sleepovers she'd always cuddle with her, and right now she wanted a cuddle.

Elise's chuckle made Charlotte smirk. "Does that mean yes?" She asked, her smirk forming into a grin.
"Yes we can cuddle, but not on that bunk." Elise stated. "Noo," Charlotte whined, "my bunk is warm, come cuddle."

Elise, knowing that these offers didn't last, sighed in defeat and climbed on to the bunk. Charlotte's back was now pressed up against the wall, leaving enough space for Elise to lay on her back.

"Charlotte can I go play?" Olivia asked. "Of course sweetie, go play." With that Olivia jumped from the bunk and left the room, shutting the door behind her.

"You had a nightmare?" Elise asked. Charlotte nodded. "Yeah..." She mumbled as she cuddled into Elise's side. The two had a strong connection, both in love with the same musicians, especially Taylor Swift and Fifth Harmony, they both loved reading and anything that was artistic.

Elise, however, was gifted in the looks department. She had long, blonde hair that went just passed her shoulder blades, and amazing electric blue eyes. She was beautiful, something Charlotte envied, but only slightly.

It wasn't like she was ugly by any means, her hair was dark and sat on her collar bones, her eyes a brilliant green, it was just compared to Elise, she was a few grades below.

They were both regular height and slim, though Elise won mainly with how she was with people, being able to communicate normally and kept a conversation going, whereas Charlotte avoided people at all costs.
