New Neighbour

My POV

I couldn't believe my eyes. The penthouse next door had finally been bought by someone and that meant that I wasn't the only one on the top floor. This also meant that I would have to introduce myself and with my history of being a total and utter klutz, tends to ruin my first impressions.

Sighing, I hoped that the new neighbor was somewhat friendly and held no judgement and minded their own business. Shaking my head of any stupid thoughts, I tied my shoes and headed out the door only to kiss the floor with my ass as some dude practically tackled me to ground and stayed on top of me.

His voice brought me back to reality when he said my name as if he was confused by running into me - literally.

I look at him confused as to how he knows my name. A few seconds pass and I remember him from that one fateful night where we both had too much to drink and ended up sleeping with each other.

Bewildered, I asked: "you're my new neighbor?!"
As if to answer my question, he grinned at me. Asshole. I rolled my eyes at him, hoping that he would soon realize that he was literally boxing me between him and the floor and I was getting tired of just laying there, barely able to move - that's how close we were. I think he noticed my growing discomfort because he slowly moved off of me and offered me his hand. Me being my petty self, I just looked at his hand and pushed it away as I helped myself up and walked away from him without looking back. Just like I did when I left his place the morning after the biggest mistake of my life.
