Michael didn't know what to do, say or even think. The positive pregnancy test he found worried him but not as much as his distraught girlfriend who was still a mess in his arms. He knew that he'd be an ass for assuming that you cheated but to him, it felt like the worst-case scenario. You on the other hand, buried the memories of that traumatic night and event. You felt like you didn't deserve Michael anymore because you were raped but he still doesn't know that and you don't think you would ever be able to tell him. You sighed and tried to breathe but it wasn't really working. Your eyes were looking for something to calm you down and as soon as they landed on Michael, you felt a bit better but it wasn't enough because the expectant look on his face made you look away.

"Michael, you know that I love you more than you'll ever know but that's not what you think. I promise." you told him, but his upset expression didn't change. Hell, he even has his arms crossed. Fuck, he doesn't believe you. Why would he if your story/argument started with those fucked up words? "If it isn't what I think it is, then what the fuck is a pregnancy test doing in our bathroom because I've been away filming for the past 6 months, doing night shoots. I mean, you can't blame me for thinking that you cheated on me while I was gone. Can you?" Michael seethed. The multitude of emotions unbearably clear as his words stabbed you, sinking in sharp, cut, and clear that this hurt him more than he cared to admit. His eyes filled with tears as the thought of being there for a child that wasn't his crossed his mind. You finally finished packing everything that belonged to you and made your way to the door. Seeing this and realizing what was about to happen, Michael's reflexes kicked in and his hand shot out in front of you as you approached him, effectively blocking you from leaving, and now forcing you to listen to whatever it was he was going to say.

You sighed as he hesitantly reached for your bags but the only reason you knew this was because you saw his hand reaching downwards and you didn't have the energy to look him in the eye - not with the silent tears streaming down your face. You let him take your bag and he slowly moved in front of you and shut the door. Your breath hitched slightly, and he was - unfortunately - close enough to hear it, no matter quiet you thought you'd been. His heart broke as the sound of your silent whimpering became audible to him. He started thinking that you just felt bad for what you did but little did he know.

"Baby, look, you know that I love you with everything in me and the last two and a half years have been the best years of my life and I really don't know where we went wrong because I know you, okay? I know you! This isn't like you at all so what changed while I was gone?" his voice rose in volume as he continued to speak, desperation clear in his voice, face, especially his eyes.

He shook his head, trying to get rid of those thoughts and focused on your distressed state. "I don't know what else to tell you because you've clearly made up your mind!" You yelled at him. You raided the closet, finding your suitcases and filling them up with your stuff. Michael just watched you in shock as you angrily and messily packed your bags. You really didn't know how you were going to tell him about what happened to you, but it seemed like he had made up his mind already. "You know what? If you must fucking know, you asshole, I didn't choose to get pregnant and I didn't cheat either. Believe what you want but know that I'll never trust you again and I most definitely will never ever look at you the same ever again. This, us, it's over. We're over. Have a nice life," your words drenched in venom as they left your lips. Michael processed your words but by the time he did, it was too late. He lost you because he jumped to conclusions and didn't even give you a chance to tell him what really happened in the time that he was gone and looking back, his accusations were the cherry on top because all he did was push you away and shut you out in fear that you'd found someone better but that was never the case. He lost you in the most unforgiving way - you walked out on him because of his insecurities that blinded him from the truth of the situation. Now the woman of his dreams was his ex, and it was all his fault. You finally finished packing everything that belonged to you and made your way to the door. Seeing this and realizing what was about to happen, Michael's face dropped and so did his arm. He had nothing to say, not even a goddamn apology even after he'd silently processed your revelation about the nature of how you came to be pregnant. His mouth gaped open and shut like a fish, but his stunned state allowed you to leave and realizing that you were not going to change your mind about this, he didn't even make a move to stop you.
