His eyes were always set in a glare whenever your name was brought up and you didn't know why. Your friends could feel the tension between you two and it was always the kind that made you want to crawl into a hole wish you were dead. With no explanation for the one-sided hatred you always received from him, you started complaining about his existence and your innocence because you didn't know him and you didn't want to with the way he was constantly insulting you and and fucking with your head, making you feel like pure and utter shit.

Your friends either didn't know anything at all or they were excellent at hiding it, seeing as nobody bothered to tell you why your existence brought him so much misery. It got to a point where you cancelled on hanging out with your friends because you knew they'd talk about him like he was some saint. You distanced yourself from them and eventually, stop responding to any and all of their texts.

It wasn't until the commiserating asshole showed up at your door that you realised that they probably forced him to talk to you, making you roll your eyes at their stupidity and his. You tried closing the door on him but he wedged his way in, leaving you infuriated beyond belief. You huffed as you watched him make himself at home.

"The fuck do you want? Isn't it enough that you hate me for no fucking reason," you spat in his direction, not looking him directly in the eye. He glanced at you without moving his head and said, "they honestly think you're some kind of fucking angel when you're fucking not." You laughed at his reasoning and couldn't help the curiosity that bloomed from his words. "An angel? Me? You're kidding right? I know I'm not an angel. I definitely don't pretend to be things I'm not, asshat. So why don't you tell me why you really hate me so fucking damn much, huh?"

He really was deluded if that was the reason why he was the fucking Winter Soldier with you. An angel? Yeah right. "I can't tell you because you'll laugh and think it's ridiculous." He was suddenly shy and that made you curious. "Oh yeah? Try me."
