Hospital Visits Part Two - Sis Finds Out Part Three

It felt like he waited an eternity and then some before getting any news on you and when he did, he dropped to his knees and cried all the tears he had in him.

Michael wasn't expecting to hear that he now had more to lose than when he raced in to get any and all information pertaining to how you were doing. The stress of not knowing how you were doing was finally taking a toll on his body and he suddenly get exhausted but refused himself any sleep because it was pointless really. Why should he sleep knowing that he hasn't heard anything satisfactory from the doctors yet? There's also the what if's plaguing his mind every second he doubted whether you were okay or not. What if he wakes up to find out that you're no longer alive?

What if his nightmares keep him up anyway because you're not there to be his safe haven? These thoughts loomed in his head, taunting and tainting any positive thoughts that seemed to be wandering in and around his mind. Feeling defeated, Michael closed his eyes for a moment to grasp onto the sliver of hope he had left before opening his eyes and escaping his makeshift haven of hope to search for the doctor and to his relief, there was one approaching him, calling your name.

Immediately, Michael perked up at the mention of your name and stood up to get some kind of information about you from the doctor. Dr. Beckett approached Michael to share the news of his findings on your multiple injuries and how your chances of survival were looking. Doctor Beckett told Michael how lucky you and your baby were to be alive despite the fact that your accident should've killed you both.

Michael couldn't stop the tidal wave of relief that came in the form doctor Beckett's words. The tears that were previously a result of sadness and grief, suddenly became those of happiness and gratitude. All he needed now was to be able to hold your hand and be there by your side.
