Just Great!

You huffed and puffed as you ran through the crowded streets of New York. You didn't think that you would take this long running an errand for your lazy older brother. You bumped into so many people and muttered aimless apologies as you went. Why did your idiot brother think it was a good idea to crave the worst possible thing to crave in weather this shitty? Why would he crave froyo and ice cream from a store on the busiest street in the bloody city?

You sighed in frustration as you were knocked off your feet but you felt relieved that someone caught you. Mumbling your thanks to the stranger, you figured that it wouldn't hurt to see who saved your ass from freezing. Your eyes followed the arms steadying you and you stared into beautiful pools of chocolate shielded by frost covered lashes that framed the stranger's face. He was at least 6 inches taller than you with beautiful dark skin but the combination kind of dark. You know the not too light, not too dark combo.

"Thanks Mikey. Dylan is an asshat for wanting his stupid ice cream near Hell's Corner. Anyway, I need to go but I'll see you soon right?" you tell your neighbour's boyfriend. You then took off before he could say anything to you.

It took another hour to get home, only to find that you walked into the wrong house. You were about to move from your frozen spot by the door but your neighbour pushed past you with all of her stuff.

"Uhm, Mikey? Are you, are you, uh, okay?" you ask the male hesitantly. He looks up at you with puffy and red eyes. "Oh yeah. Just great! Thanks for asking." Michael told you with tears waiting to be shed.
