You felt like the entire world was out to get you when you woke up that morning. First, you had no water even though you paid your water bill. Then your apartment building decided to have a drill. Like the fuck? Some of us have work to do. On top of that already shit day, your car wouldn't start and your building's wifi was totally wack so ordering an Uber was totally out of the question. You had two options. Walk or call your the one person you didn't want to know that you were having a bad day - your dad.

You made your way to the nearest coffee shop and on the way there, it started raining. You huffed loudly but it was silenced by the rain that slowly increased in volume. You finally get to the coffee shop, hoping that a caffeine injection will make you feel a bit better but your mind went blank as you opened the door and crashed into someone.

Fuck, that coffee is hot! You thought as a harsh gasp left your lips. The person that spilled their scorching coffee was deemed a messenger of Satan and made your day worse. You look up at the stranger and stare into the familiar eyes that once made you feel safe but now, you wanted nothing more than to make sure that you never saw Jason ever again. Not after all that he did to you.

Eventually, you got to work - late obviously - and got lost in it all as you carried on doing the one thing that made you feel better - scriptwriting. Everything that happened to you before getting to work, was made clear for the characters in the script you were currently working on. It wasn't until around 2pm that your boss came by and told you to meet him in his office to meet a guest.

You looked at the clock, eyes widening as you realised that you were late. You rushed down the hall to meet your boss at his door and he gave you a look as if to tell you to be late again. You sat down in the uncomfortable chair and wondered why your boss wanted to see you.

You look over at him and he locks the door behind him, telling you to stand up as he made his way to you. It takes a minute for you to realize what he wants from you and you make a run for the door. You managed to unlock it but he got a hold of your shirt, failing to pull you back as he ripped it in the process of you running to your cubicle and packing your things hastily and bolting for the door.

You look over your shoulder and see him running after you, screaming that one day he'll have your body. You turn your head only to collide with someone walking into the lobby. The stranger held onto your forearms to keep you steady. Wow, his hands are warm. Wait! Stop, you need to run! You tell yourself. As you see the asshole approach, you hide behind the stranger who pieced together that you were running from the man furiously staring you in the eye as a few tears slipped past yours, holding the stranger closer, feeling a bit confused as to why this man made you feel safe.

The stranger took his blazer off and gave it to you so you could cover up. As soon as his blazer was on your body, he ushered the both of you towards the entrance he had just walked through and to his car. He noticed your hesitation and assured you that he'd keep you safe. You found yourself getting in the car and zoning out as you found yourself back at your apartment building. You furrowed your brows as he led up the stairs to your floor but not to your door. You didn't know that this man was your neighbor!

Your mind took over your body and led him to your apartment and he was taken aback but the intricate little notes and quotes you had decorating the place. You showed him to kitchen and told him to help himself to anything there with the exception of the donuts you bought the day before and hadn't had the time to eat yet. He smiled at you and you went to your room to change, feeling like you forgot to tell him something.

You walked out of your feeling comfortable and made your way to the fridge, ready to eat your beloved snack. You find the box, make your way to your couch and find your saviour asleep uncomfortably and against your better judgment, you woke him up and helped him get to his apartment next door. You were about to leave his side but he pulled you back, rendering you surprised and took advantage of that by using you as a cuddle buddy. You went to say something but he was out like a light. And soon enough, so were you.
