Living On Campus

You were new to the whole living on campus thing and being shy around new people stopped you from asking where to go for whatever it is you might need.

You stayed in the backseat of the car while your parents got your things out of the trunk for you, giving you a moment to pull yourself together. Letting out a heavy sigh, you open the door and get out in a hurry to get to your dorm.

You didn't even give your parents the time of day as your hauled your stuff through the large doors of your new home — Indiana State. You finally got to your room and settled in with your stuff in one of the closets, assuming the other was for your roommate.

You decided to wander around campus to get used to it so that you don't look so lost when classes actually do start. Your phone rang and you fished it out of your pocket and managing to bump into someone.

The girl you bumped into was around your height and had visibly dyed platinum blonde hair with fake eyelashes and long acrylic nails that you would never be able to wipe your ass with. Her outfit was the demon lovechild of a unicorn and retarded panda with schizophrenia. Yes, it was that bad. So bad that I almost had a seizure looking at her.

You know it really is true when they say that light travels faster than sound. You'd think she was smart but in the name of all things good in this world, her squeaky voice and ignorance were too much for you to handle so you just walked away from the reincarnation of Annabelle and barbie's wicked older sister.

You laughed lightly as you headed towards a concession stand but failing to see the menu because of the insanely tall guy in front of you. Waiting for him to finish, he moved to the side before taking a look at you and you kept your focus on your hunger for actual food and ordered a little bit of everything. The tray they have you was overflowing but you found an open seat near the tall guy's table and ate in silence, appreciating the good food.

Somewhere during your third serving of chocolate mousse, the tall guy from before sat with you. You looked at him but didn't stop eating. He returned the look, doing the same.

The two of you eventually finished your meals and sparked a conversation. You felt a bit wary of the fact that you opened up so much to the guy - sorry, Michael - and you found out that you were roommates for your entire stay at Indiana State.

The weeks went on and you two became inseparable but Michael's feelings were overwhelming him as he admired your passion for acting as well as radio production. You looked over at him and his heart skipped a beat even though it was racing.

On a Saturday night while everyone else was out partying, he said that he needed to tell you a secret. You furrowed your brows and looked at him. He walked closer to you until he was sat on your bed and he turned to you, deciding - against his better judgment - to kiss you rather than say anything.

Your body went into autopilot and wrapped your arms around him, effectively pulling him closer.
