Cody Sets Him Up With You

Michael rolled his eyes as he wondered how Cody managed to convince him to go on a blind date. Michael didn't want to date anyone, not yet at least. He was still hurt by the fact the his ex cheated on him with one of their mutual friends. He zoned out as he felt himself going through those emotions once again but snapped out of it just as quickly as he felt it.

He sighed, grabbed his wallet, phone and keys before heading out the door and locking it. Talking himself out of staying home and watching his favorite movie for the umpteenth time, he got in his car and made his way to where his blind date would be.

You hurriedly got dressed as you remembered that your brother set you up on a blind date with a friend of his that, and I quote, needs to be loved the way he loves when he is in a relationship. Biggest load of bullshit Cody has ever told me. You order an Uber and while you waited, you grabbed a matching purse to throw your phone and such in. When it finally arrived, you zoned out, trying to figure out who your blind date could possibly be.

The Uber driver let you know that you'd arrived, snapping you out of your trance. You thought that you might have been lost until you spotted a pathway outlined by fairy lights. You followed them until you didn't see any more of them and in front of you was your blind date with his back turned to you. It was obvious that he was nervous.

You announced your presence by clearing your throat and your date turned around it the both of you were floored. Of course Cody would set you up with your crush. Fucking git. You're pulled out of your thoughts when you feel Michael's larger hand take ahold of your much smaller one. You smile up at him and let him lead you to what looks like a picnic under the stars. The only thought in mind being, at least I don't have to hide my ugly laugh that tends to find its way out of my mouth when I'm around him.

You two sat there for hours on end, laughing and giggling at the stupidest shit that wasn't even funny. The both of you forgot about your shitty exes completely and didn't realize how much time had flown by as you cuddled yourself into his jacket that he'd given you earlier.

You both find yourselves cuddled into each other and as you watched the colors of the sky slowly change, you look at Michael to thank him but his face is so close to yours that if you moved your head the slightest bit forward, you'd kiss him. And soon enough, the gap closed and your lips met in a slow and sweet kiss that repaired your broken hearts.

You both pulled away and stared at the rising sun along with the beautifully painted sky with the biggest smiles on your faces.

Hi guys. I'm currently working on the baby chapters and I have the names for the baby in Cody's Sister. As for Best Friend, I'm kinda unsure bc I feel like publishing them as one whole chapter for the water breaking and the birth the the going home and epilogues another chapter. Let me know but at the moment, the baby chapters are something that I have to research extensively so that I can be as accurate as possible.
