I get dressed and head downstairs, my sister is sitting on the couch watching TV. "I'm going for a walk"- I announce, -"Are you sure, you just got here yesterday, what if you get lost?"- Kate says, -"I'm not a kid Kate!"- I laugh, -"Okay just be careful and don't take too long, Sophie is gonna be here soon!". I wave her goodbye as I get out of the house.
Today is a beautiful day! As I walk I spot a small coffee shop at the corner of the road so I decide to go and get coffee. The shop is quiet with small tables and large windows that allow the sun to get in, I like it! I thank the cashier, take my iced coffee and get out. As I walk down the street to go back home the sun is bright in my face making my eyes close shut. I take a step opening my eyes again but I bump into something, someone...
"Sorry!"- I mumble.
"Are you fucking blind!"- I hear a deep voice say. I look up and see a tall guy with black curly hair and brown eyes looking down at me. -"I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to"- I say, he's mad, well of course he is, I spilled my coffee all over his shirt. -"You're sorry huh? That won't fix anything, look at my shirt! Didn't your parents teach you how to fucking walk with your eyes open?"- he can't be serious -"I apologized, you don't have to be rude!"- he's an asshole, why would he mention my parents. With that said, I walk away from him and he doesn't say anything else. He literally ruined my mood, why would he talk to me like that, he doesn't even know me, ugh!
After a few minutes I'm in front of our house, I get in and see Kate and Sophie sitting on the couch laughing about something. -"Oh my God, Heaven it's so nice to finally meet you"- Sophie says as she gets up and hugs me tightly. -"It's nice to meet you too Sophie"- I say. We sit down and talk, Sophie is really funny, now I understand why she's friends with Kate. After an hour of girl talk Sophie gets up and says -"So let's go to my house, we can watch movies and order pizza, what do you guys think?"- ,"Great idea Sophie"- Kate says. We get out and walk to Sophies house, her house is just next to ours so we don't walk much. Before we enter Sophie turns to me and says -"oh! My brother might be here, please don't mind him if he's rude to you, he talks like that to everyone except mom!"- she laughs. -"Don't worry I think I can handle a little rudeness."- i say, -"Yeah right, just don't start crying lil sis he doesn't mean half of the things he says."- Kate says and they both laugh. What's so funny anyways?
Sophie orders pizza, we sit down and they decide the movie we are going to watch. It's a drama romance movie, I love romance! Two hours pass and the movie ends, I'm sobbing, literally crying as I remember that the boy in the movie dies before he can confess his true feelings to the girl. -"Why are you crying?"- Sophie asks. -"I told you, she's really emotional"- Kate says. -"I'm fine, can I please use the bathroom"- I ask. -"Of course, just go upstairs, first door to your left"- Sophie says and I thank her as I walk away.
As I get out from the bathroom and get down the stairs I hear a familiar voice talking to Kate and Sophie. I enter the living room an see him, the guy that was rude to me earlier, the one that I spilled my coffee on. Now everything makes sense, that's why the girls were warning me earlier. -"Oh Heaven this is my brother Kyle, Kyle this is Heaven, Kate's sister"- Sophie says as I sit down on the couch. -"Nice to meet you Heaven"- he says with a smirk on his face. I literally want to slap that stupid smirk off his face but I can't. -"Yeah you too"- I say and look away, my words rushing out of my mouth.
He stands up and walks out without saying anything else, he's so intimidating. -"So what do you think"- Kate and Sophie ask at the same time. -"About what?"- I say, -"My brother of course, it's kinda weird he was being nice to you."- she says amazed by her brother. -"Well about that.."- I say and start explaining to them what had happened earlier. They both laugh, I don't get it tho, what's so funny, he was being very rude earlier. -"Well that makes sense"- Kate says and Sophie laughs again. After that they start talking about every stupid thing they have done while they were drunk and the time passes fast with us laughing, giggling and eating pizza. It's dark outside so we decide to leave, Sophie hugs me, -"It was nice meeting you Heaven, can't wait till the three of us hang out again"- she says, -"me too"- I say, we exchange goodnights and we head back home.
"So lil sis, did you have fun today"- Kate asks, -"Yes of course, Sophie is really sweet"- I say. -"Hahaha yes she is, well what about Kyle?"- she asks again. -"Kate why are you even asking me about him, don't you have anything better to do?"- I say. -"Wow Heaven relax I was just asking"- she laughs, -"okay well don't ask"- I say and she looks at me with a questioning look on her face but doesn't say anything else. We talk a little, then I kiss her goodnight and we both head to our rooms. I decorated my room earlier and I love it, my room is small but it's perfect for me, flowers, books, cute led lights, a perfectly made bed with soft blankets, soft pillows, my small desk, everything I need is here. I'm exhausted from the day so I lay down on my tiny bed and begin to think about my day. Sophie's brother is so rude and I can't forget how intimidated I was when he was staring at me, it felt weird. He's kinda mysterious tho, he doesn't talk much and when he does he's just rude. -"Why am I even thinking about him in the first place"- I whisper, and with that I fall asleep..
