Chapter 30

"You ready?"- Kyle asks looking at me. -"Yep"- I respond. We're going back home today and we just finished packing our stuff. -"Alright, let's go"- he says taking my bag as we head downstairs.

"Good morning"- Kyle's mom says cheerfully when she sees us. -"Good morning"- we both say and Kyle gives her a kiss on the cheek. -"Did you get everything?"- she asks. -"Yes, we're ready to go"- Kyle responds.

His mom escorts us to the door and turns to greet us. -"It was so nice having you here darling"- she says hugging me. -"Thank you! It was nice to see you again"- I say hugging her back.

We pull away and she turns to her son. -"I'm gonna miss you my baby"- she hugs him tightly. -"Don't worry mom, I'm gonna visit you again soon"- he says struggling but he doesn't try to break away from the hug.

"That's what you always say"- she sniffles. -"I promise. Please don't cry mom"- he says softly and I watch them in awe. -"Alright! You both visit me again"- she says cheerfully when she pulls away and quickly wipes her tears. I nod and smile at her before we walk towards Kyle's car.

"Bye!"- I wave at her as the car engine starts. She blows us a kiss and walks inside her house. -"Did you have fun?"- Kyle asks while looking at the road. -"Yes! I love your mom"- I respond happily. He smiles softly.

"What about me?"- he asks playfully. -"You..?"- I pause for a moment, -"you know I love you a lot, don't you?"- I continue and a big smile forms on his pretty lips as a faint blush appears oh his cheeks. -"I love you too"- he says softly, before looking at the road again.

The rest of the drive is spent with us talking, singing and laughing. Time passes by and before I know, he parks in front of our houses. He takes my bag and we walk towards my house first.

"Kate, I'm back!"- I shout as we enter the house and my sister comes into view. -"How was your weekend?"- she asks hugging me. -"It was great! I had fun!"- I respond. -"I'm glad"- she says and turns to Kyle.

"How was your mom?"- she asks him. -"She was alright!"- he says making my sister smile softly. -" I'll go now but I'll see you later"- he says kissing my head. -"Bye!"- I say. -"See ya!"- Kate says making him raise his hand to wave as he walks out.

"How was your weekend?"- I ask Kate. -"It was okay but I missed you"- she says opening her arms and I walk towards her for a hug. -"I missed you too"- I say squeezing her tightly.

The days passed by beautifully. Kyle and I spent every minute together. We visited an art museum together, we attended an author reading at a bookstore, we visited the library and picked out a book for each other, we went to a drive-in movie together and many many more amazing dates. This week was the best.

We're alone at his house now and we decided to make pizza together instead of ordering. -"I think we got all the ingredients we needed so let's start"- he says standing behind the counter.

"Sure"- I say walking towards him. We start by pouring the ingredients into a bowl and make the dough. When the dough is ready, we make it into a circle and spread the rest of the ingredients.
