Chapter 3

I woke up this morning and decided to go for a walk. When I get back I see Kate and Sophie sitting on the couch. -"Hi Heaven"- they say in unison. -"Hello, what are you girls doing?"- I ask. - "We were waiting for you! We're going shoppiiiiing"- Sophie says excited. -"You're coming with us right?"- my sister asks. -"Yes"- I say, -"I need to buy some new outfits and I really like spending time with you girls"- I smile. -"Well we do too sis"- Kate says and Sophie agrees.

We went to the mall and spent three hours there, but it was worth it. I bought some cute outfits that I can't wait to wear. As we walk to Sophie's car we see Kyle with a girl. Are they even serious? They are making out in a parking lot, but to be honest I don't know why it bothers me so much. -"Get a room"- Sophie says to her brother, she doesn't seem surprised or anything, I guess she's used to her brother kissing girls in public? -"Oh trust me, we will"- he says with a stupid smirk on his face. Asshole. Sophie doesn't respond she just rolls her eyes and my sister does the same.

After that we went home. I asked Kate if I could use her car because I wanted to explore the city, I can't wait to buy my own car so I don't have to ask her every time I need to use it. Anyways, I found a really beautiful place while exploring, it's not to far and something tells me that I'm gonna visit it soon. It's like a small meadow with grass and beautiful flowers and if you walk up the hill there's a cliff. The view is amazing, you can see the ocean and there's also a small beach there. It felt so peaceful when I sat there watching the sky while hearing the sound of the waves hitting the rocks.

As I drive back home, the song "In my head" by Peter Manos plays on the radio and I sing along with it. I really like this song and honestly I can't imagine my life without music, it helps me a lot to think and when I'm sad music makes me feel better. College starts soon and I have to concentrate, I can't let anything distract me from my goals. I've worked so hard for this so I can definitely do it. It's what dad wanted for us, he wanted us to become strong and independent. He always said "Smile and let everyone know that today, you’re a lot stronger than you were yesterday". I miss him a lot, I would give anything to see him one last time.

I didn't notice that I was crying utill now.I park my sister's car and wipe the tears under my eyes. I walk in the house and see Kate, Sophie and Kyle sitting in the living room, talking about something. I walk quietly hoping that they won't notice my presence, -"Heaven"- my sister calls for me-"Damnit"- I I whisper, -"Um hi guys"- I say avoiding eye contact with them. -"Come sit with us for a bit, we're gonna order pizza"- Kate says. -"I'm not hungry"- I say and see Kyle starring at me. -"Are you sure sis?"- Kate asks, she seems worried. -"Yes of course, you guys have fun!"- I say with a smile.

I walk in the kitchen to take a glass of water. Kyle walks in and I look at him with a questioning look on my face. -"Have you been crying"- he says, his voice echoing through the small kitchen. -"What, no"- I say, he takes a step closer to me. -"You're lying, your eyes are puffy"- he says starring down at me, his brown eyes burning into mine. -"Why do you care?"- I say harshly, he probably came in here to make fun of me. -"I don't care"- he says -"I don't give a fuck if you cried or not."- Ouch. I'm not surprised tho, I knew he came in here just to be rude and annoying. -"Well thanks for being honest"- I say and walk upstairs to my room. I change into my comfy pajamas, lay on my bed and start reading a book. Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite romance novels and I never get bored of it. I fall asleep while reading..

Two days pass and I'm sitting on the couch, eating breakfast when Kate and Sophie join me. -"Heaven guess what"- Sophie says excited. -"What?"- I ask looking at my sister. -"We're going to a party tonight"- Sophie says, -"and you're coming with us"- they say at the same time, no way. -"Girls girls, partying it's not really my thing and  Kate you know it, I only went to one party my whole life, when I was in high school and it was a disaster. I don't understand how people have fun getting drunk, dancing like crazy and kissing strangers at parties. Sorry but I'm not coming. You guys have fun!"- I say smiling. -"Come on Heaven, please!"- Sophie pleads. -"Sis you have to come with us, you're eighteen now, you can't just stay here all day, reading books and do nothing else, you should have fun!"- my sister says. Maybe she's right, maybe I should go, what could go wrong, they're gonna be with me. -"Alright alright, but I have nothing to wear"-I say. -"Don't worry about that"- Shophie says and they both look at me smiling, -"You guys come at my house at seven and we're gonna get ready together"- she adds.

My sister and her bestfriend bought me a dress the other day, that means they really want me to go with them to this stupid party. They did my make up, straightened my hair and put them into a ponytail. I'm getting dressed now. The dress they bought me it's a dark green shiny dress that hugs my body perfectly but it's a bit shorter than my usual dresses.I look at the mirror in front of me and I can't believe my eyes, is that even me? I look different and hot maybe. I get out of the bathroom, Sophie and Kate are almost ready and when they see me they start screaming like high school girls. -"Heaven you're so hot"-Sophie says. -"Yes sis you look stunning"- my sister adds. -"Are you sure, isn't it too much?"- I ask. -"Nope, not at all"- they say.

-"Why are you girls so loud?"- Kyle says leaning in the doorframe of Sophie's room. I didn't even notice he was standing there until now. He eyes me up and down and I feel my cheeks hit up. -"We're getting ready for the party"- my sister says. -"She's coming with you?"- he asks pointing at me, he seems surprised, what? -"Yep"-my sister talks again. -"Well that's surprising, she doesn't seem like a party person"- he says, what's wrong with him. Before they can respond i say -"Stop talking like I'm not here, and yes I'm going to the party. I don't care if I don't seem like e 'party person' to you."- I look at him and he laughs, he looks like a different person when he laughs, it really suits him. -"Yay we're getting drunk"- Sophie says. -"I don't drink"- I say, I've never been drunk before and i really don't get it, why do people think drinking it's fun, it's not. -"See, you're proving my point"- he says and I roll my eyes. I'm gonna prove him wrong tho.
