Chapter 5

It's friday and it's been a week since I saw Kyle, I was embarrassed to face him after that night. The only things I've been doing this week was just reading, watching movies, cooking, listening to music and repeat. The only time I was out was when I needed to think and spend some time by myself. I met my sister's boyfriend today. He was really nice and sweet, I'm happy for Kate. I hope he treats her well or else he's gonna have to deal with me. I might seem like a really quiet person but when it comes to my family, well let's just say that I'll do everything it takes so they can be happy.

Yesterday Kate told me that Sophie's mom invited us to dinner. She's only visiting for the weekend and she has met Kate so she wants to meet me too. I just hope Kyle is not there. I've been also preparing myself for college, it starts on monday. I'm excited but kinda scared. I hope everything goes well. It's a bit cold today, I can feel the autumn breeze hit my face as I walk down the street.

As I enter the small coffee shop I bump into someone. God why am I so clumsy? -"I'm so sorry"- I say, I look up and I'm met with two beautiful blue eyes. -"Oh no, it's okay. It's my fault, I'm sorry."- the handsome boy says. -"I'm Luca"- he says taking his hand out to shake mine. -"I'm Heaven"- i say shaking his hand. -"Heaven? Wow you have a beautiful name, I like it."- he says smiling. I don't know why but something about his smile makes me feel calm. -"Thank you"- I say smiling back. -"Well, I better get going. See you around Heaven."- he says walking away and I wave back at him.

I order my coffee and head home. I think I made a friend today. Luca seemed very nice. I hope to make some friends this year. Not a lot of course, but I hope I can find someone that I can talk to when I'm feeling down or just hang out so I don't have to stay home all day long. I had some friends in high school but now it seems like they forgot about me. I always reached out to them to see how they were doing but they never did the same so I stopped. I felt like I was bothering them. Well I hope they are happy because everyone deserves to be happy.

I walk inside my house. Kate is still at work so I decide to make dinner for us. I'm gonna cook Chicken Piccata Pasta which I know she loves. I make the table and wait for her to get back. I hear the keys on the door so I get up as Kate walks in. -"Hey sis"- she greets me, -"Hi, how was your day?"- I say hugging her. -"It was okay but I'm a little tired. What about you?"- she asks. -"Usual"- I say smiling, Kate laughs a little. -"Of course"- she says with a weird voice and I laugh, she knows me too well. -"I prepared dinner"- I say. -"Chicken Pastaaa"- she says a little to excited. We sit on the table and eat as we talk. I tell her about Luca and she teases me a little saying that I should stop bumping into people. I tell her that I don't do it on purpose and she laughs. We finish our food, I clean the table and Kate helps me do the dishes. When we're done we sit on the couch and watch a movie. -"Heaven don't forget, the dinner with Sophie's mom is tomorrow at 7 p.m."- she says. -"Don't worry Kate, I won't forget"- I say. I get up and kiss Kate on the cheek. -"Good night"- I say, -"Good night Heaven, sweet dreams"- my sister says to me and I walk up the stairs to my room. I wear my pajamas and lay on my bed thinking about tomorrow.

I woke up this morning, ate breakfast and went for a walk. When I got back I just laid on my bed and read a book. It's currently 5 p.m and I get up from my bed. Kate is back from work early since is saturday. I get in the bathroom and take a long shower. I shave, I brush my teeth, I have a mini breakdown, I sing all my favorite songs and then get out. I dry my hair and decide to put a little makeup on. I'm not used to wear makeup because I always went out without wearing any so I just put little blush on my cheeks and a little mascara. I have naturally curly hair so I just leave it like that. I always wanted straight hair but then I started to adore my curls because mom and dad always said that I have beautiful hair. I decided to wear a white turtleneck and a brown denim miniskirt with buttons. I also wear a golden necklace that dad had bought for me for my birthday. It's basically a necklace with a little angel on it, he always said that it matched with my name. It's now 18:50 and I head downstairs. My sister is ready so we get out the house and start walking towards Sophie's house.
