Chapter 23

"So? How are things between you and Kyle going?"- my sister asks as she sits on my bed. -"Pretty good actually. l feel happy when I'm around him"- I respond as I get ready.

"I'm glad to hear that sis. I hope he treats you right because if he doesn't I'll chop his dick off"- she jokes but her expression stays serious and I cringe at her choice of words.

"He treats me good, I promise!"- I assure her with a laugh. -"And if things don't go well, you'll be the first to know"- I add and she nods.

"Where are you guys going today?"- she asks. -"To the beach! I'm kind of nervous because it's our first time going together"- I respond.

"Don't be silly! There's nothing to be nervous about. Besides, didn't you two go swimming together before?"- she asks confused.

"That's different"- I say and she looks at me with a questioning expression. -"Well it's kind of a long story"- I say laughing nervously.

"Are you going out tonight?"- I ask changing the subject. -"Yes I am so don't wait for me"- she informs me. -"Okay"- I respond and the doorbell rings.

"Looks like he's here! I'll open it, you just finish getting ready"- she says walking out of my room. I put on a plain black crop top And my demin shorts.

After I'm done getting ready I take the bag with all the necessary things for the beach and head downstairs.  I walk into the living room and spot Kyle talking to Kate.

"Hey"- I greet him and he immediately stands up giving me a hug. -"Hi"- He says tightening his arms around my waist. Almost as if he missed me.

"Are you ready?"- He asks pulling away and I nod with a smile. -"Alright you two, have fun at the beach but be careful okay?"- Kate says.

"We will"- I respond with a smile and Kyle nods, one of his arms still resting on my shoulders. -"Oh and don't do anything I wouldn't"- she says teasing me with a wink.

"I can assure you that!"- I say and they both laugh. -"As if I would"- I mumble as we walk towards the door. -"I heard that"- she says still laughing.

I know why's she's laughing. We're pretty different from each other even though we're sister's. Although that has nothing to do with it. But yeah, we do handle situations differently.

"OKAY! BYE NOW"- I say walking faster and Kyle follows me. We get into his car and he starts driving.

"How has your day been so far?"- Kyle asks putting his hand on my thigh as he drives with the other.

Even though he does this all the time, I still haven't gotten used to it. I don't mind it though, it feels nice and it tingles my skin a little but I feel safe.

"It was alright. What about yours?"- I ask looking at him. -"Kinda boring. I missed you"- He says looking straight forward on the road.

My heart skips a beat. He doesn't say things like this often. It's because he doesn't express his feelings a lot. I've learned that by now but I still don't understand why is it so hard for him.

"I missed you too"- I say and he finally looks at me. He stares into eyes as if he's searching for confirmation for what I said. I softly smile and he clears his throat looking at the road again.

Is he nervous? I can't really tell but I smile to myself at the thought of him being nervous around me.

Since the first time we met, he always found a way to make me nervous so I kinda like the fact that I'm the one making him nervous for once.
