Persephone

People, you gotta love 'em.

"Persephone, you are so awesome, Mr Wilson is so lucky to have you," Jonny, the junior accountant says with a smile.

"I agree with Jonny," Bianca, the new intern replies.

"Thank you, guys, I have a feeling you and I are going to be best friends," I giggle, and he hugs me.

"Girl, me too, we should go out for coffee sometime, Starbucks?" Bianca asks.

I hiss, "Not Starbucks, a very embarrassing incident there recently."

Jonny places his hand on his chest and gasps, "Oh girl, what happened?"

"I'll tell you that over coffee, give me your number and we'll talk," I say. I open my bag and take my phone out, and hand it to him to put his number in my phone. He gives it back to me and I see that he has saved himself as 'Zaddy Jon' with a devil emoji. I give the phone to Bianca so she can save her number.

"Jonny, seriously," I laugh, "You'll get me killed."

Jonny laughs "Girl, he won't mind."

"It's lunchtime Jonny, we have to go shopping, remember," Bianca says, looking at her watch.

"Shit, girl, let's go. Kiki you wanna come with us? The company is having this fundraiser on Friday. And we had made a plan to go shopping for something fabulous to wear," Jonny says pretending to do a hair flip.

"I'd love to come with you, let me tell Hades and then we can go," I say.

"We'll meet you in the lobby," Bianca says, and we both go our separate ways. I look around the room and find Hades talking to two men. they introduced themselves as Mr Ronald Fitzgerald and Mr Ivanov Yates. I walk over to them and stand beside Hades, who instantly puts his hand around my waist.

Over-protective much.

"Need anything baby?" he asks finally giving me his attention, his vibrant green eyes looking into my soul.

"Jonny and Bianca are going shopping during their lunch break and I'm going with them, I just wanted to let you know," I say.

He pulls out his wallet and takes out his platinum card and hands it to me. "Go fun baby and get yourself something to eat and don't forget to call me if anything goes wrong, okay."

I nod, stand on my toes, and kiss his lips, "I'll see you later."

The shock on his face is enough to make me smirk and kiss him again. Before he can do anything, I scurry away knowing that once we get home, I'm getting my ass spanked but I don't care.

I walk to the elevator and press the button; I turn around and find Hades staring at me with his lust-filled eyes. my body quivers at the thought of what he might do to me, and the elevator door opens. I step inside, giving him a wink as the doors close.

Arriving downstairs, I find Bianca and Jonny waiting for me.

"There she is," Jonny announces, "Girl, you are one fashion killer, the dress is to die for."

I blush, "Thank you, Jonny."

Jonny links arms with me and Bianca and we walk out of the building, they hail a cab, and we get in.

Jonny and Bianca, go on to talk about the event that Hades failed to tell me about. They discuss how they plan on matching their shoes with their bags. For the first time in a while, normal. I now have normal friends. Don and the gang are great, but I have been looking for something normal. Something more down-to-earth and human.
