Minthe, I chuckle.

What kind of a name is that, sounds like Voldemort.

And what does this witch want with my baby?

I was looking over Mama June's Garden and all the memories of the days I met Hades were replaying in my mind. As crazy as everything was, I don't regret a single thing. All the crazy events and his weird family and my mother, he lied but he didn't mean harm and I knew deep down inside that he did all those things because he loves me.

I feel him wrap his arms wrap around my waist. He places soft kisses on my neck down to my shoulders.

"What's up?"

I shake my head, "Nothing, just reminiscing. And also wondering what your ex wants with my baby."

He kisses my shoulder, "Don't worry about her baby, we'll find her and get our baby back."

"I know."

"She is a bitter ex who can't seem to accept that I moved on. She thought I was going to marry her and then you came into my life."

I chuckle, caressing his forearms, "Probably would have made a better queen."

"Nope, she was a lot. She treated the workers like her servants, especially Hecate and that didn't sit well with me or any of my siblings," Hades says, "And also the greed and the cheating."

"But you loved her?"

"Yeah, I did."

I turn around and face him, "I'm sorry that she hurt you like that baby, you didn't deserve that."

"Fuck her, I have you now and I'm happy.

He starts kissing my face and I giggle fighting to push him away, but he's got a tight grip on me.

"Hades stop it."

He stops kissing my face and I look into his beautiful green eyes.

"I love you Persephone,"

I smile, "I love you too Hades."

Hades' phone rings and I see that it's Tyson, he answers it and puts it on loudspeaker.

"Go."

'We've got sights on Minthe,' Tyson says.

"Where?"

'She's in –

The phone line scrambles, and we can't hear anything.

"Tyson?"

"Holy shit," Hades says in disbelief.

"She's in the underworld, isn't she?"

There is an explosion in the far distance and my heart begins to race, they can't be where we think they are.

Hades and I look at each other and we make our downstairs. we go down to the basement and he hands me a bag.

"Put those on, and then say the spell that's on the card." He says as he pulls out another bag.

He throws the bag on the ground. He steps on the bag the clothes are on his body, an all-black outfit with cargo pants and a tight black polo neck and boots.

"Woah, you loo –

Hades shakes his head, "Perse, I know but we are running out of time baby girl."

"Okay, sorry," I get up on my feet and hades kisses his teeth and says a spell and the clothes are on me.

Hades looks at me and shakes his head, "No, you're staying."

I couldn't believe it.

"I am not going to do that Hades,"

He steps closer to me, and I step back, "I want you to be safe."

"No, she's my baby too Hades, I want to save her from that bitch. She is in my kingdom, ruining my life!"

Hades pinches the bridge of his nose and says a few words in Greek, and I know he is cursing.

"I'm not arguing with you Persephone, you are going to stay here."

For the life of me I was trying to understand why hades would just his mind, was it because of the beast incident? Am I not good enough to fight him or...?

"You still love her, don't you?"

I watch as guilty washes over his face, "No, I...

I let out an exasperated sigh, "You are unbelievable."

"Perse, I hate what I did to her okay? I threw her out of the one place, she has lived her whole life,"

"Maybe she deserved it."

Hades shakes his head, "No she didn't. I hurt her and I need to apologise, this thing inside me is feeding on my guilt and pain and I want it to stop."

I sigh, "Hades, we can do this together, don't shut me out. Let me help you."

He looks at me and sighs, "I'm sorry I can't do that."

He kisses me and everything goes black.

She'll hate me but eventually, she'll forgive me. I'd like to believe she would. I have to do this on my own. After knocking out Persephone, I make my way to the underworld.

I close my eyes and listen for Tyson and Hecate, and I hear them near my castle, I teleport myself and prepare my sword to attack. The portal opens and Hecate and Tyson are fighting with Minthe, near the castle entrance. I jump up and throw my sword at Minthe and I purposely miss her head by an inch.

She turns her head to me and gives me a lopsided grin and I hear Hecate and Tyson screaming for me to run.

"Look who decided to join the party,' she says in a distorted voice.

"Minthe, let's talk about this," I say as my sword lands back into my hand.

She laughs, "Talk? You should have thought about that before you kicked me out of my home!"

Her flame of red hair grows even bigger, she was big mad.

"You gonna kill this bitch or what?" Tyson says as he runs towards me.

Minthe cast an invocation spell summoning all the lost souls of the underworld to attack Hecate, Tyson turns around and runs to her.

"Deal with Minthe, I'll go help, Cate."

When I turn back to look at Minthe she's gone and then I sense something behind me when I turn, I come face to face with her and she puts a blade through my chest.
