Hades Wilson
"Dammit!"
"What is it now Hades?" my brother asks, looking at me with his ocean-blue eyes.
"I don't think I can do this."
He sighs, "For the last time, you don't have a choice, you don't want mom to get involved."
"Of course not," I sigh
"So, sort this thing out quickly before mom catches wind of it"
I nod, "I will."
He nods, "Good, now invite her over for dinner and I'll make sure Fifi comes, I'm sure they'll be good friends."
I give my brother a weary smile, "Thank you."
"Only helping a brother out and I understand how you feel, that's how I felt when I met Fifi."
"She doesn't know she's one of us," I walk towards a single sofa and sit down.
The whole thing was scary, and I didn't want to mess it up, they told me that I was the one that was to help her discover who she was and help unlock her abilities, but I can't do that without her knowing she was my mate and bearing in mind that Chase has a crush on her, I had to move quickly.
"Brother, she'll find out sooner or later that she's your mate," my brother says.
I groan, "I forgot you read minds."
He chuckles, "It's not my fault you think really loud in that small head of yours."
"Shut up," I mumble.
I took my phone out of my pocket and handed it to him, "Help me, please."
He rolls his eyes and starts typing, once he was finished, he handed it back to me.
"Thank you."
"Now let me go tell Fifi and I'll have her come over and cook up a feast."
I smile at my brother, "You're the best."
"And you're my favorite little brother," he says and ruffles my hair.
I laugh lightly.
"Love you."
"Bye Poseidon."
He snaps his finger, and he disappears.
I let out a sigh and looked at my phone, my eyes widened in shock, she was coming, she had agreed with a smiley face, and I couldn't help but grin.
I quickly get up and go downstairs and find my godmother/nanny, an old woman wise beyond her years, short and sweet, with long grey hair and stormy grey eyes and creamy skin, she barely looked her age, and funny enough I didn't even know how old she was.
"Gertrude, please call Gaston and tell him to come to see me immediately," I say with a smile, "I have a date tonight."
"With whom my boy?" Gertrude asks curiously.
"The love of my life."
I walk away feeling confident, now I just had to make sure that Fifi came here on time to prepare all the traditional Greek food. I couldn't believe it, I had to send a gift to her, a dress. I quickly called up a designer and gave him her dress size and told him what I wanted to see her.
Ring, ring
"Hello?" I answer.
"Who is this Persephone your brother speaks of?"
"Fifi, I'm glad you called. She's the one, finally found her," I say.
She squeals, "I knew it. Oh, I'm so excited. I'll be there in ten minutes to come to prepare."
"Thank you, Fifi."
"Poseidon! Our little brother is finally going to get laid!" She screams and I hear my brother laugh in the background.
"I can still hear you, you know," I say embarrassed.
I heard a laugh and she cut the phone. I chuckled to myself.
'Oh Persephone, I can't wait to see you tonight,' my heart says.
About ten minutes later, I heard a knock at the door.
That was quick
I go to the door and find my other older brother Thanatos.
"What do you want?" I growl.
He walks past me and then turns around to look at me, "I heard through the grapevine that you found her."
"And if I have?"
He gives me a menacing smile, "You have to introduce her to me."
"Not in this lifetime, now leave," I command.
"Oh, why not dear brother, I don't bite."
I looked at my brother and he had a smirk on his face, I hated him. He's always thought he was better than me and he was better than me and every girl that's ever been in my life has fallen for his good looks and charm, his blue eyes, dark hair, and beautiful body, crafted by the gods themselves, the gods made him.
I sigh, "Please leave Thanatos."
"Fine but only because you begged me to."
He walks towards the door, turns to me, and smiles, "But I'll be back, and I'll take her, just like I did the last one."
"Not this time, you will not win this time and I'll make sure of it," I say lowly and slam the door, the bang echoes throughout the house.
"Sonny, is everything alright?" Gertrude asks from behind me.
I take a quick breath in and out and give her a fake smile, "All is well Gertrude, don't worry."
"It was Thanatos, wasn't it?" she says softly.
I sigh, she steps closer to me and places her hand on my shoulder.
"Don't let him get to you son, he's not worth it?" she says.
"But what if he's right, he always wins,"
"Not this time my boy, I'll do everything in my power to stop him even if it kills me," she confesses, "You deserve to be happy and if she's what will make you happy then it's worth dying for."
"You don't have to do that, who will cook for me once you're gone," I pout.
She smiles patting me on the shoulder, "I am bound to die anyway then who will cook for you?"
"Gertie, you're not that old," I chuckled.
"Yes, I am, I've been around since the dawn of time."
I laugh, "I love that joke."
"I know, it's your favorite one," she winks.
I kiss her on the cheek, "I don't know what I'd do without you, Gertie."
"A whole lot more if you ask me, I'm always babying you."
I blush, "It's because you love me."
She rolls her eyes, "A little too much."
I give her one more kiss, "I love you, Gertie."
"Me too sonny. You're not the demon everyone makes you out to be you're as harmless as they come."
If only you knew.
