Persephone
"Oh my gosh!" Fifi screams, "You're awake."
I smile at her, "Yes, I am."
She pulls me in for a hug and a small bump, "Is the little one growing?"
Fifi giggles, "Yes, he is."
We pull apart and I see Hecate smiling at me.
"Hey, Nena," I say as I walk to her and give her a hug.
She hugs me, kissing the side of my head, "Oh, my baby. I've missed you."
"Missed you too Nena."
She kisses my forehead once again and then looks at me with tear-filled eyes.
"Don't cry, Nena. I'm here now."
She sniffs and gives me another hug.
"I think we should cook up a feast to celebrate," Hecate smiles.
"Definitely" Fifi grins, "I could eat."
Everyone laughs, it felt good to be back. I had missed everyone and spent time with them.
"Persephone baby, how about you go take a shower and then you can come back. We will go sit in the garden and enjoy the outdoors," Hades says.
I raise an eyebrow, "I'm looking a little pale, aren't I?"
He nods, "Yes you are."
I chuckle, "You could have just said that you know."
"Could I?" he questions playfully.
I laugh and we make our way up the stairs, we get to his bedroom, close the door, and he pulls me into his chest.
"I've been dying to kiss you," he whispers lowly.
The rumbling in his chest makes my knees weak, I look up at him and smile, "Kiss me."
He at once smashes his lips on mine. I slowly ease into it, tasting him in my mouth and enjoying the tingling sensation in my core. I moan.
We pull apart, and he gives me a smirk.
"Let's take this elsewhere."
I give a smile, and I take his hand, and we walk to the bathroom together; he lifts me and sits me on the sink. He takes his shirt off, and his tattooed body is revealed. I bite my lip, looking at every tattoo on his body, his sculpted muscles. I look at his face, and his dark blue eyes are staring at me.
"I've been waiting to have you, but only if you're ready baby," he says, stepping closer to me.
I was not ready, and that was the truth. After a past incident in my life, I was not ready to be intimate with another man.
"It's okay. I won't pressure," he says, lifting my chin and kissing my lips softly, "I'll wait for you."
"Thank you, Hades." I smile.
He turns around and gets the shower ready. I take my clothes off, and he leaves the bathroom, giving me some privacy.
I get into the shower, feeling the warm water, run down my body. I felt so good to feel the water on my skin, let stand underneath the showerhead, wetting my hair.
Then the water turns black. I scream and jump out of the shower.
"Hades!" He comes rushing in, and his eyes widen in shock.
My entire body was dripping with black water. I was shaking in fear.
"What's happening?" I cry. He quickly grabs a towel and wraps it around me.
"It's okay baby, relax," he says, pulling me into his arms.
Don calls out for Hades from the bedroom.
"I'm in the bathroom. Please call Hecate to come and help me with Persephone," he replies, he walks me out of the bathroom into the bedroom.
Don looks at me, "What happened?"
They just look at each other, and Don tenses and leaves.
"What's going on?" I ask, looking at Hades.
He sighs, "We'll talk about it later."
What?
"No, I want to know now!" I demand.
"Persephone not now!" he yells at me, making me jump.
He called me Persephone, but why? Nobody calls me that.
Hecate walks in glaring at him, "Don't you dare raise your voice at her Hades."
Hades? He is Hades! What the fuck?
"Sorry, I'm sorry Persephone. I didn't mean you tell," he frowns, he reaches for me, but I step back.
"Persephone, please," he begs.
Hecate walks to me, takes my hands and escorts me out of the room.
"Let's get you cleaned up," she says, and she takes me to my room. Where she runs me a bath and helps me remove the black water out of my hair, and of my body. She helps me pick out my clothes, and she helps me with my hair.
"What's happening Nena?" I ask, looking at her.
"Baby, I wish I could tell you, but that's not my place. Hades has to tell you everything," she says.
She smiles at me, "You are much more than you think my dear. You're a Queen, and never forget that and whatever he tells you stay open-minded."
I nod, "Thank you, Nena and I will."
I stand up, and look in the mirror, I had lost weight, but it was not too bad. She had straightened my hair, and I was a short floral dress with scandals.
"You look gorgeous," she smiles.
We go downstairs and find everyone sitting in the lounge. Hades stands up and walks up to me.
"Your beautiful baby."
I smile, "Thank you."
"We need to talk baby, I think it's time," he says.
I look at Hecate, and she gives me a nod I walk to the couch and sit down.
"Persephone, there is a lot that we need to tell you about what happened in the shower. The coma and everything else in between. We just ask that you be open-minded about it," Fifi explains.
"I will try my best."
"Hades, why don't you start us off," Fifi says.
I look at Hades and I can tell he is nervous; he lets out a shaky breath.
"Okay, first things first. You're a goddess" he spits out, "A minor goddess, to be more specific."
"Goddess, goddess of what?" I ask, confused.
"Goddess of Spring."
I laugh, "You're joking?"
And by the looks on their faces, they were dead serious.
