Hades

My body is shaken vigorously, and I want to sucker punch whoever is doing it, but I can't find the strength to even speak. And then suddenly I feel cold water being thrown on me and I'm instantly woken up and I look around.

"Told you it would work?"

I groan, I should have known it was my stupid brother.

"Wake up, sunshine, we have a problem," I hear my brother say but my mind is still spinning, Hypnos and his stupid powers. A single touch from him and you're in a daze for hours, days, months, even years.

I slowly sit myself up from the bed and take in my surroundings, I'm in Zeus' home, how did I get here?

Persephone.

"Where is Persephone?"

Nobody answers, both my brothers are looking at me with confused looks on their faces.

"Where the fuck is, she?" I yell, I attempt to get out of bed, but I stumble and fall to the ground.

"The gods have mercy upon us," Poseidon mumbles and he helps me up back onto the bed.

"You need to lie down, you've still got poison in your system, Hera is whipping up a cure for you, just relax," Zeus says.

"I need to see Persephone, where is my wife?" I ask as tears fill my eyes, "I need to know if she's okay, she's carrying our baby. I need to tell her that I'm sorry for everything and I –

"Okay, okay, baby brother, it's okay, it's okay. Persephone is fine, she's with her mother, right where she needs to be," Poseidon says looking at me with sadness in his eyes.

I sigh in relief, "Okay, okay. I messed up Don, I messed up,"

My brother places his hand on my shoulder, "We've done worse Hades, we really have, and you're the only god that's been faithful and hasn't been a tyrant like your brother and I have, all you were trying to do was love,"

I sniff, "I purposely kept a child away from their mother, I lied about it and made her turn against her mother when she did nothing wrong,"

"Hades, we know but you did the right thing by sending her to her mother, now all you have to do is go and claim back the underworld, so that when it's time for her to come back, your family will have a home," Zeus explains.

"You're right,"

"Quick question though, when did the horns come back?"

My eyes widen in shock, "It's been a week or two I guess,"

Poseidon hums and looks at Zeus, "Well you're going to need them if you're going to deal with the twins."

Hell yes.

"Hell no, not happening, remember the last time I transformed, you had to lock me up for ions while you figured out a way to turn me back."

"Well yeah but this time we'll be prepared," Zeus says, "And besides, you seem to have it under control,"

I chuckle, "It's like me asking you if you have your dick under control,"

Zeus scowls and his cheeks turn bright pink.

"Thought as much,"

There is a knock at the door and in walks the blonde beauty, Hera, she's dressed in a red pencil dress and red bottom heels, her hair is tied up into a ponytail, she's got a bowl in her hand, and she puts it on the bedside table.

"You're awake, I thought you'd be asleep still," she says.

"Hello to you too Hera,"

She chuckles, "Sorry, it's just that when my husband explained the state you were in, I assumed the worst,"

She places the back of her hand on my forehead and then looks into my eyes, "Your vitals are good, so that's a good sign, I made this, drink and you'll be good as new."

She hands me the soap and I drink it and I hum, chicken soup?

"You made chicken soup?"

"No, but I made it taste like chicken soup so you wouldn't barf it up," she laughs and walks to her husband, who places a possessive arm around her waist.

I can't help but notice how uncomfortable that made her, "Thank you, Hera, I owe you one,"

She gives me a small nod and I look over at Poseidon.

You saw that right?

Yes, I did, it thinks he's doing it again.

That explains the heavy makeup.

Fucking dick bag, we are telling dad.

Agreed.

Persephone

"Honey, you need to get up and eat," Demeter says worriedly, "We need to feed the baby."

I've been lying in bed ever since I got here, I refuse to eat, drink, or do anything until I see my husband, I need to know if he's alive and no one will tell me anything, not even Fifi.

"Look I know you want to see him, but you can't right now, he's dealing with a crisis," she adds.

I sniff, "But I want him, why won't he let me help him?"

"You're carrying his baby, he doesn't want you getting hurt honey, tell you what, if you eat your food, get dressed and ready. I'll take you to wherever he is, even if he kills me."

I sit up and look at Demeter, the sincerity in her eyes is enough for me to believe her, I hold out my hands, and she gives me a bowl of yoghurt with fruits.

"So, is what you had said true, that dad left?"

She sighs, "Yes baby, it's true, he left, like any other male god in this realm, you marry a goddess or deity and as soon as he is bored, he leaves and finds a new one, very few sticks around,"

I frown, "I'm really sorry mama. What they did to you was wrong, and I'm sorry."

"Oh, baby child, it's okay, you are here with me now, and we'll make things right and get to know each other. We'll work through everything together," she says with a tearful smile.

"Now eat, okay? I'll prepare your bath and some clothes,"

"Thank you," I say, and I begin to eat.

She's just a scorned woman, who just wanted to be with her child, raise her, look after her and watch her grow, and Hades took that away from her for his selfish reasons. They both did despicable things, but I forgive them both for the sake of this child, and for the sake of my sanity.
