                    Peng's P.O.V.

It's been a week since I moved to New York. I haven't gotten much done in my apartment yet because I was too busy building some of the furniture that I designed myself from my last job. The only things that I had unpacked was my bed, personal items, kitchenware items, the dining table, and Ouna's things.

It was a lot, but I didn't mind it at all. Back in South Korea, I would sketch and build the interior designs that I would want to have in my home before I moved. I know I can't fully change the apartment, so I just focused on the furniture the most.

Now that it's finally coming together, it makes me feel successful. It's still insane that something that I dreamed of becoming ever since I was little actually came to reality.

Looking back at my college and high school days, there were nights when I had to cram for my SAT's and pull all nighters to study for my college exams. All of that stress and hard work was worth it and all it did was make me successful.

In the meantime, I was carrying a few boxes from my back patio to bring inside so that I could unpack the wood that was in there. Ouna was sleeping on her bed peacefully while I was sweating.

After placing the boxes down, I wiped the sweat off my forehead with a towel that was hanging on my chair and let out a sigh. Today is going to be a long day putting some of this furniture together. Along with having to paint it. As soon as I was about to grab my water bottle that was on my kitchen counter, my doorbell rang.

Ouna woke up quickly and stared at the door. I made my way towards the front door and so did Ouna. Then, I peeped through the door hole to see who it was. I unlocked the door after and opened it.

"Did you run a marathon?" Tai asked.

"Did you bring my melon jam pastries?" I replied while leaning my arm on the wall that's near the door. " He held a brown box up in the air a little to show me.

"I even brought some company to give you an extra hand." Tai added. Both of them had came from a side and waved at me with a warm smile. It was Delaney and Brea! "Hey, you guys are really going to help me?" I said. "Why wouldn't we?" Brea said.

I opened the door fully so that they can all come inside. Ouna began to jump all over Tai with excitement. "Hey Ouna!" Tai said while rubbing petting her. Then he stopped and she began to run around the house.

"Haha she's still the same." Tai laughed.

Brea and Delaney chuckled a bit too."Thank you guys so much for this! This means a lot." I said while acting emotional. Tai placed one of his hands on my shoulders and ruffled my hair as if I'm his dog, Juno.

"Yeah yeah drama queen, we get it." He said and stopped after. I froze gave him a death stare. "Do you know..how long..this took me..to make my hair look this good?!" I scolded at him. He observed my hair and squinted a bit.

"You did? I couldn't tell." Tai shrugged.

I placed my hand on my chest and gave him a disbelief look. Then, I squinted my eyes at him. "Give me that!" I said aggressively and snatched the pastries away from his hand.

Before I was making my way to the kitchen, I looked at Brea and Delaney and they both had shocked looks on their faces. "Don't worry ladies, this is just we are, if you couldn't tell from when we all went bowling." I said.

"Noted." Brea answered.

I looked over at Delaney who was only just standing there in silence. Her hair was up in a messy bun, she was wearing baggy sweats and a plain dark grey hoodie, and it looked like she didn't get enough sleep. She always dresses nice even if we aren't doing anything major.
