Automatic Love

It was the next day and I was back in the office. There was another meeting for Angela's script. Luckily, I was there on time for it and I was already clocked in and everything. In the meantime, I was helping Angela set things up for it while she was getting coffee for everyone.

"Hello hello hello!" A male voiced greeted. I turned around to see who it was and it was my other favorite worker, Parker.

"Good morning Parker!" I gave him the same energy back.

He placed his things on the table with his coffee in his hand. "How's everything going hon?" He asked me. "Things are fine, I can't complain!" I replied. After finishing setting things up, we took a seat at the table and waited for everyone.

"That's good to hear. Keep that energy up!" He said as he held his fist up. I chuckled a little bit. Parker is the only man at my job that I'm kinda close to. He was the one that guided me when I first came here and saved me from Vivienne a few times.

Plus, he makes our job more interesting! With him and Angela together, they are an iconic duo. Both of them know how to make our office days exciting. What I admire about Parker is that he's always been the one that brings good vibes here and stays optimistic.

When one of our co-workers gets yelled at by Vivienne or if someone is having trouble with their ideas for their stories, he's always the one that helps. He helps as much as he can to make it!

"What about you? How's everything going for you?!" I asked him.

"Girl, my boyfriend surprised me with a romantic date at one of our city's five-star restaurants and it was amazing!" He announced. "No way, that's great!" I said.

"Yup! I love him so much." He said while blushing a little.

It made me really happy seeing him this happy. When I first met him, he was at his lowest, and all though he made people smile, he wasn't as elated as he is now.

"Awe, that is so cute! I'm glad that he's making you happy because you really do deserve it!" I smiled.

He awed. "Thank you Brea, you are the best!" He smiled back.

Suddenly, we heard the door open. Both of us turned around and it was Angela with the food. "Good morning peeps!" She greeted.

"Angela!!" Parker and I said at the same time. Both of us got up to help her out. "You took so long. Brea and I have been waiting an hour for your slow ass!" He joked.

Angela bought donuts so I placed them on the other table that was in the corner where we put our food on. "Says the guy that always comes back from lunch break an hour and a half almost all the time! Nobody asked y'all to come early." She replied.

All of us burst out laughing and continued to set things up. "Is Vivienne coming to the meeting?" I asked. "I'm not sure but knowing her, she always stops by at the most random times," Angela said. "Yeah, she's like an enderman. She spawns everywhere!" Parker added.

"Yeah, she gives me nightmares." I shivered a bit. Once we had everything ready, everyone else came to the meeting room and took their seats. Angela went to the front while Parker and I sat at our seats.

"Good morning everyone! Before we start, please help yourselves with some donuts and coffee!" Angela announced. People began to grab their morning snacks and drinks, including myself.
