Tai's P.O.V.

The truth is..I took Peng's advice for once. Usually, I would never listen to his ideas because it always fails or it's just dumb. But, I decided to take this one. He really did have a valid point before he left. I'm always lonely when Peng or my aunt isn't around.

I don't have any other friends and I can't even consider my co-workers as friends. They treat me like as if I'm a nobody and not part of the job. Since I kinda knew Brea, I might as well get to know her more to see if I would be able to bond with her.

Hopefully, she won't feel uncomfortable around me now that I want to be friends with her all of a sudden. I wouldn't blame her if she did. Both of us were sitting across from each other at the table and she was just staring outside the window watching the rain.

"What about you? Are you from here?" I asked. She turned her head away from the window and looked at me. "No, I was born and raised in Florida." She answered. Interesting.

"Florida is great. I haven't seen every part of it, but from what I've seen, it's a fun state." I answered.

"I mean it's alright. North Florida is better to me than South." She shrugged. She's probably talking about Orlando or Tampa if I'm not mistaking. I've only been to Miami once and that was the only place that I've been too there.

Suddenly, I heard her phone ring and she opened her purse to grab it. When she looked at the screen to see who it is, she looked up at me. "Excuse me, I have to take this." She said softly and politely.

I nodded at her and she answered her call. While she was on her call, a waitress came to our table. "Good evening sir, would you like to order something?" She asked. "Ah, yes please. May I get a peppermint tea?" I asked.

"One peppermint tea? Okay!" She wrote it down on her notepad.

"Anything else?" She asked. "No that's all." I replied. "Okay, I'll be back with your order." She smiled and walked away. In the meantime, I opened up my laptop and turned it on to work on a little bit of poetry.

"What, already?!" Brea said shockingly.

I looked up at her to see what was going on. She looked surprised. "That's amazing Parker. He must really inspire you." She said and chuckled after.

Her laugh was gentle and soft. One thing that I noticed about her is that she's more of a calm person. Maybe the other side of her was something that I wasn't supposed to see yet. Hearing her laughter made me smile a little because of how adorable it was.

"No, I'm still trying to figure out the plot." She said.

"Okay, I'll talk to you later, goodnight." She said.

After that, she removed her phone from her and hung up the call. She placed her hand on her left side of her cheek and let out a small sigh. I titled my head slightly and looked at her.

"Everything okay?" I asked her.

"I'm sorry about that. Things are fine, I'm just feeling a little stressed because I have a project to do for work and it feels like I'm not getting anywhere with it." She confessed.

"What do you have to do?" I lift my head back up.

"I can't say much about it, but I have to write a short script for a music video." She said.

I know what she's talking about. A couple of days ago, my team and I had to set up something for Nolan's new song. We had to find a company that had good screenwriters. Plus, Delaney did say that she was a screenwriter the other night so it all just makes sense.
