Delaney's P.O.V.

Today is going to be an exciting day! Why? My pottery set came in! Meaning, that business would really be booming. People love to have customized stuff that they can use and on top of that, it's so much fun to do!

It can get a bit messy tho. But it'll be worth it!

I was in my studio, unboxing my package to see what it would look like and play with it a bit to adjust the settings so that I can get familiar with it. There's so much to do, so much to make, I don't even know where to start!

Maybe I could-

"Ughhh!" Brea groaned in the background.

She was on my mini sofa, making herself fall off of it slowly. She's been at it for a while now.

"Girl, groaning isn't going to help you solve anything." I replied.

She fell off the couch and just stayed in the same position.

"I don't know what to do Laney. It's been almost a week and he still hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend." She ranted.

"Well why don't you ask him instead of you waiting?" I asked.

She got up from the floor and stood up with her arms crossed.

"That will hurt my pride if I do." She said and flopped back onto the couch.

I shook my head and finished taking the stuff out of the box. Hurt her pride? They literally confessed to each other and the feelings are mutual. But I can see why she would say that.

"You have two options. You can put on your big girl pants and talk to him about y'all relationship status or you can continue to groan and fall off my couch." I suggested.

"I'll stick with the second option." She said and then flopped back on the couch again. Then, she placed her headphone over her head and listened to her music.

At least I tried.

The bell had rung from somebody opening the door and I looked up to see who it was.

"Hey Laney, I got the-" Peng said out loud.

"Shhh!" I said and titled my head the direction I wanted him to look at.

He looked over quickly and widened his eyes.

"She's wearing her noise-canceling headphones, she'll be fine." He shrugged and placed the box on the table.

"Still be careful Peng." I said.

"Okay...she's still the same?" He asked as we both looked at her.

"Yup." I replied and sighed.

Brea has every right to feel the way she feels. And I know she doesn't want to be the one to ask him out first because well...she never does. She said it would "hurt her pride", but really, she's just too shy to say something.

"I'll take it from here." Peng suggested and made his way over to her.

Peng removed her headphones from her head and held onto them.

"Delaney what gives-" Brea scolded and looked at me.

"I should murder you right now Peng. You made me miss the best part of one of my favorite songs!" Brea scolded at him.

"You can listen to it again, it's not going anywhere." He said.

She rolled her eyes.

"What's so urgent for you to interrupt my mini escape from reality?" She asked.
