Delaney's P.O.V.
Today is the big day! It's still feels unreal that it's only been a year since I opened up my mini art museum in my studio. I remember working double jobs to make enough money to buy everything that I need in order to run this business. It was all worth it.
It came out the way that I wanted it to be and I must say, I am so proud of myself for not giving up on my dreams and end up doing horrible things that could mess up my life. It's been a long journey and despite my darkest times, I managed to stay strong and face my challenges.
So I thank god every day for making me walk the right path. At the moment, I was in my art studio, decorating and fixing up some stuff before I head to my hair appointment. I wanted to get it out the way so I can get other things accomplished later.
There were new paintings in the back of the studio that I painted at home a while back. Brea and I went over to Hobby Lobby to buy some of the decorations and she wasn't able to help today because she had important things to do. She wouldn't tell me what it was..I got my eye on her.
Suddenly, the little bell that was on top of my front door had rang to let me know that someone is here. "Hello, welcome!" I greeted as I placed some of my decorations down, not looking to see who it was at the moment.
"Hi, I would like to buy a painting from you." A male funny voice said.
I looked up to see who it was and of course and it caught my attention quickly. "Peng!" I cheered and walked up to him. He had a soft smiled and had some stuff carried in both of his hands.
"What are you doing here? You weren't supposed to come to till later." I furrowed my eyebrows and crossed my arms.
"I know, I'm sorry. But, I wanted to give you something in case if it gets really busy later." He said and held them out. I looked at it and it was a dark purple vase with clematis inside and a white square box which a sticker.
"Awe, thank you Peng! You didn't have to get me these." I admired them with excitement while grabbing it from him. I smelled the flowers and they had a fresh and mild scent. "These are gorgeous!" I said.
"But I wanted too." He replied.
I looked at him and gave him a smile.
"Thank you again, I really appreciate this a lot. You're so sweet." I said. He looked at me in the eyes had smiled back. "Oh this is just a little something. Besides, a beautiful person deserves the most beautiful flowers." He said and rubbed his neck.
Woah. Did he just call me beautiful? My eyes widened because of his reason why he got these lovely flowers for me. "U-um, what's in the box?" I asked him to save myself from an awkward moment.
"Gourmet cookies. Each one is different and I picked them up from a new family owned business cookie shop." He said.
I placed the vase down on the table and opened the box. There were all huge and loaded with sweets on top. There was cookies and cream, s'mores, red velvet, a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips in it, birthday cake or confetti, and a strawberry shortcake.
"These look amazing." I said while taking a whiff of them.
"It looks like you're going to need some help with that." He said while staring at the cookies. I closed the box and moved it away from him. "Fat ass! How are you still in shape but each so much?!" I scolded.
"Because all the food that I eat, I work it all out." He said while feeling proud.
I squinted my eyes at him when he said that. "You're abnormal." I said bluntly. He let out a small chuckle and pushed his hair back. "Alright well I have to go now, I have things to take care off." He reached in his pocket and pulled out a pair of shades. Then, he placed his shades on his face.
