"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Delaney asked while feeling worried.

Both of us were getting ready for work. "Yeah, I'm fine! See?" I smiled at her. Delaney squinted her eyes. "Brea, I've known you for nineteen years and you like to hide your emotions most of the time." She said frankly. Okay she didn't have to expose me like that.

"Don't worry Delaney, it's okay. Today is an important day anyway. I have a meeting." I told her as I put on my heels and sprayed some perfume. She finished applying lip gloss on her. Both of us went downstairs and I grabbed my keys to leave.

"You're not going to eat anything?" She asked.

I turned around to look her way."No, I don't really have an appetite. Delaney let out a sigh. "You're definitely not stable enough to go to work. You said no to food and you never do." She said.

"Delaney relax, it's okay, really. I have to go but have a good day at work!" I said and just left from there. Although I was still in shock, I won't let it get to me from work. My career is more important to me. Plus, I'm a strong woman so what could go wrong at work?

"Alright everyone, we hope that you enjoyed your weekend and now we have to get back to work!" Angela announced.

I was in the meeting sitting next to Parker and was staring at my wallpaper on my phone. It was a selfie of Kelvin and I at one of his basketball games. Memories were coming back to me on the same day we took that picture.

Then, I unlocked my phone and went to my photo gallery to look more pictures and videos of us. There was no expression on my face. It was just blank. Maybe it was because I cried so much yesterday, that I feel a little numb.

Why? Why did you do this to me Kelvin? I didn't deserve that at all. Nobody deserves it. Why couldn't you be honest with me? Why would you lie to me? Just..why?

"Ms.Jones!" Vivienne yelled. I made it back to reality and looked around. Everyone was staring at me. "Y-yes?" I asked and put my phone away quickly. "Care to share what's so important on that phone of yours?!" She asked me.

"I-I wasn't on my phone..I just staring out of...space." I lied. Parker leaned over. "Girl, are you good? You're not acting like yourself today." He whispered. I looked at him and nodded with a fake smile. He had a concerned look on his face.

"Yeah right. Well, Angela has been calling your name one hundred times!" She said. I looked at Angela and she folded both of her arms. I got up quickly and grabbed my folder. "I am so sorry!" I announced and walked over to the front.

Angela went back to her seat and I placed my work on the board. Then, I took a deep breath and turned back to my co-workers. "Good morning everyone. Today we are going to be discussing the climax of the story. So far, Chantel and Sawyer have confessed their love for each other. Does anyone want to share their ideas on how their first official date should be?" I announced.

One of my co-workers, Jane, had got up. Everyone looked at her. "How about Sawyer surprises her with a picnic on a dock with candles and rose petals everywhere during the sunset? Ah, that would be so cute!" She gushed.

All of a sudden, tears began to fall down on my face when she said that. It reminded me that one time when Kelvin and I went on vacation to California and he surprised me with dinner at a restaurant that was near a dock.

He was trying his best to impress me and make it as romantic as possible which was sweet. "Ms. Jones, are you okay?" One of my co-workers asked.
