Mac's POV
The next morning I wake up early. Since it's Sunday and Mia has three more days before she goes back to school I decided to make breakfast for the girls. At one point I hear one of the twins crying so I go in and find Izzy crying. I pick her up and she starts to smile. I see Noel looking at me sad. I go over and pick her up. I sat in the rocking chair holding the two girls. Noel starts giggling and Izzy just stares at her befor giggling with her. Eventually I take the two out into the kitchen and put them in the high chairs. I give Izzy a stuffed bear to play with and Noel a little puzzle ball. I continue cooking then look back and see that Noel has finished the puzzle and is now examining it. Then she pulls it apart and looks at each piece individually. She is such a little nerd it's kind of funny. Eventually I hear Riley get up and go into the nursery. When she doesn't find the twins she comes into the kitchen. "What are you doing up early? Actually I probably don't wanna know." She says. "Just thought I would make breakfast." I say trying to look like I'm not struggling. "Mhm. Need some help don't you?" Riley says. I just stare at her confused. "You put too much water in the pancake mix." She says trying not to laugh at my mistake. "Fine. I may need a little help." I say. She laughs and kisses me before starting a new batch of pancake mix. Hers comes out a lot thicker than mine. "Hey Riles?" "Hm." "Have you ever noticed that Noel doesn't cry much?" I ask. She turns and looks at me. "Yea. I mean I've only caught her crying once when they were about 3 months old but it was almost a silent cry." She says. "My mom said she reminds her of me." "Was someone shy when they were little?" I ask teasingly. "Maybe." She says.
Once we finish breakfast and Mia gets dressed we head to the park. Riley and I take turns with Mia and the twins. After a while the twins get tired and we head home. Riley puts them down for a nap and we ask Mia what she wants to do. She ended up picking a Disney movie then we played Clue. "I think it was Mustard in the Kitchen with the candlestick." I say. "How does he always win?" Mia asks Riley. "Honestly I've known the man for years and I still don't have an answer." She says. We play some more board games and eventually the twins wake up. Mia started playing with Izzy trying to help her stand up. I happened to look at Noel just in time to see her following Mia's instructions. She manages to stand up and starts walking. She takes almost ten steps then falls. She continued this for about ten minutes. "Riley." I say getting her attention pointing at Noel. "Noel? Are you walking?" She says. Noel walks across the room to Riley. Then starts giggling. She is probably the happiest baby I've ever seen. She spends some time figuring out the basics and next thing we know by the end of the night she's walking all around the living room exploring every little detail. We get ready to take the twins in for bed and Noel refuses to be picked up. I guide her to the room the pick her up and put her in her crib. She smiles at me and hugs her favorite stuffed bear. I cover her with a blanket and she falls asleep. Once both twins are asleep we head back to the living room and see Mia working on a drawing. She is getting better by the day. Eventually we all head to bed and get a good nights sleep.
The next morning Riley's mom and Jack came over with news on the wedding. "We decided on a date and place." Jack says. They showed us the plans which were to get married at a church not to far from here then go to a local hall for the reception that has a large outdoor area. They are planning on getting married in June. Eventually Matty calls us to the Phoenix and Mia asks if she can come. "Mia I don't know.." Riley says. "Please I'll stay out of the way I promise." She says. "Fine." Riley says. We head to the Phoenix and Matty is a little surprised when we show up with Mia. "Ok so we have a new lead on a large criminal black market provider. Our information tells us that they have a major warehouse near here that has a lot of security. We aren't ready to send anyone in there yet but Riley I need you to try hacking into their system to see what we're working with. Everyone else be ready to go once we figure the security out. You are dismissed." Matty says. Bozer and Leanna head out along with Russ leaving Jack, Matty, Mia, Riles, and myself. "I'm gonna head back to help your mom with the twins." Jack says. We all say goodbye and Matty looks at me watching Riley's screen over her shoulder. "You two were literally made for each other." Matty says. Riley looks up confused then realizes I'm sitting right behind her. She just smiles then keeps working. I will never understand how she does it. It starts getting late and Riley decides to try working on this more at home.
Once we get home I see Noel run up to us. She didn't want to be picked up she just waves then runs back into the living room where Izzy is playing. "Ok seriously Mac this ones already turning into a mini you." Jack says referring to Noel. I can't help but laugh a little. "Rye rye I got it!" Mia says out of no where. "What?" Riley says in response. "I know how to crack the security. Let me see it." Mia says. She clicks a few things types a little bit and next thing you know she had hacked into the security. I see a smile spread across Riley's face. "Mia! How did you- That was amazing!" She says hugging Mia. Mia just smiles and explains it to Riley. No one other those two understood how it worked but it happened. This makes me happy our family being together making happy memories.
