Mac's POV
Riley comes back inside after about 30 minutes of talking to Leanna. She isn't upset so whatever they were talking about wasn't bad. Mia opens the twins' bedroom door and Noel comes running out. Jack and Riley's mom are in shock. We explain to them what happened last night and how she was walking and running now. Izzy comes crawling and we watch Noel go up to her. At first we were all a bit nervous that they were gonna start fighting but we watch Noel grab Izzy's hands and try pulling her up. It doesn't work and Noel falls. Instead of crying Noel and Izzy just start giggling. It's funny how they don't have to say anything they just look at each other and know how the other feels. I head to the kitchen to help Riley and her mom make lunch. By this I mean go and get what they need for stuff while they do the actual cooking part. "What you makin?" I ask putting my chin on Riley's shoulder and hugging her from behind. "Grilled cheese and tomato soup. Wanna help?" She asks. "Sure. That's why I came out here." I say.
Once we eat lunch Riley pulls me aside. "What's up?" I ask. "My mom and I were talking and I wanted to know how you felt about her and Jack possibly moving into the basement." She says. "That would be amazing. It would make things a lot easier with us working at the Phoenix." I say. She just smiles. "I love your smile." I say. "I love yours more." She says. She kisses me then we head back to the twins. Jack is telling Noel something then I see her go behind the couch and then come back with a screwdriver. I watch as Jack shows here how to disassemble and reassemble her toy car. I can't help but laugh when she gives him the 'I know what I'm doing' look. Even if her social skills aren't the best she is very smart. We spend hours playing with the twins and talking about pretty much everything. Eventually Bozer and Leanna come over for game night. About 20 minutes in the twins, more particularly Izzy, starts getting fussy. Riley and I take them in and put them to bed. "I'm headed back out you comin?" Riley asks me. "I'll be out in a minute." I say. She leaves the room and I kneel next to Noel's crib. "I don't know how but I know your gonna do great things one day. You and your sister both. I want you to know I love you two more than anything. I also know your faking being asleep." I say. Noel slowly opens her eyes and giggles a little. "I love you baby." I say. "I uve you too." She says in a whisper. I can't help but smile. "You just said your first words. I think that's enough advancements for one day little girl. Good night." I say getting up and walking out of the room. I turn around and see Riley standing in the hall. She has tears going down her face. "That was beautiful Mac...." she says. I let out a small laugh and she smiles. I hug her and she tells me that she heard the whole conversation through the baby monitor.
After a while Mia gets tired and heads to bed. "Guys Leanna and I wanted to talk to you guys about something." Bozer says. I look over at Riley just in time to see her giving Leanna her 'oh really' look. Whatever Bozer is about to tell us Riley knows. "We are gonna have a baby." Leanna says. I just sit there shocked staring at Bozer. He just laughs and we all congratulate them. After a while everyone heads home leaving me and Riley. I walk inside and Riley is sitting on the couch doing something on her computer. "What you doin?" I ask her. "Working on some stuff for Matty." She says. "Like stuff for an upcoming mission?" I ask. "Sorta." I look at her confused. "Mac. Matty wants me to go on a mission alone. It's an undercover op meaning I wouldn't be able to have much contact with you guys." She says. "Okay. What's the op?" I ask a little worried. "I have to basically catfish a potential drug lord then take him into custody." She says. "No. You can't go on an op like that alone." I say worried for her safety. "Mac I go on dangerous ops all the time!" She says. "Yea with me or Jack! This is different! Your gonna be completely alone! What if something happens to you?!" I say. "You know what forget it! I don't even know why I tried to talk to you about it! I'm going on this op wether you like it or not." She says. For the first time ever I had trouble falling asleep. Riley wasn't near me and I couldn't stop worrying about the op she was going on. I just hope she doesn't get killed. I can't live without her.
