The following Monday
Riley's POV
Today is the day we find out wether we are gonna have another girl or a boy. Mac and I have been talking about it and we both kind of want a boy but we'll be happy either way. People started showing up and Leanna walks in with Olly. This is the first time the twins have seen Olly. We were a little hesitant on how they would do. We were a little hesitant with Izzy but she did surprisingly well. Noel and Olly really became friends, at least that's what it seems like. "Noel and Olly really like each other." Leanna says. "Hey it's better than having them hate each other." I say.
Once everyone gets here we head to the back patio. "So here's what's gonna happen. Mac has a little ball that he's gonna drop into the fire. It's gonna burn and whatever color the smoke is that's the gender." I explain. "3, 2, 1." Mac say dropping the little black ball into the fire. It starts to burn and the smoke turns blue. "It's a boy!" I say. Mac and I hug each other smiling. He kisses me then my mom hugs me. Noel understands and it takes a minute but Izzy does too. Izzy seems a little disappointed but Noel is extremely happy. "Noel your gonna have a little brother!" Mac says picking her up. She starts giggling and can't stop smiling.
Later that night after everyone left Mac and I still couldn't stop smiling. "We're gonna have a boy." Mac says still in a little shock. "Yea. Noel is so happy. I love you Mac." I say. He kisses me. "I love you too." He says before kissing me again. I couldn't be happier.
Time Jump to February
I wake up from a pretty deep sleep. I open my eyes and realize I'm in the hospital. I start panicking. The last thing I remember is someone had kidnapped me and Mac had tried to save me but I was hit in the head or something. I don't really remember I was knocked out cold when I was hit. Mac notices I'm panicking. "Riley! Riles calm down! It's okay. Your okay." He say holding my hand. "What about the baby?" I ask. "He's fine they delivered him last night while you were taken in for surgery." He says still holding tight to my hand. "What do you mean surgery?" I ask. "Riley you were shot in the head.... it scared us so bad." He says with tears in his eyes. I nod realizing that's what hit me. "I'm so sorry I couldn't get to you soon enough. I'm lucky your even alive still. I was trying to stop the bleeding for about 10 minutes before the ambulance got there." He says. "It's not your fault Mac. It's not anyone's fault. No one saw this coming." I say. "Did you wanna meet him?" He asks me referring to our son. "Sure." I say.
After the doctor checks to make sure I have no brain damage they let me meet him. "Do you guys have a name?" The doctor asks us. "Yea. Jack Jimmy MacGyver." I say. Mac and I decided on the name a few months ago after we found out it was a boy. Jack because of Jack obviously and Jimmy for Mac's dad. The doctor smiles at us and leaves us to be alone for a little bit. "He looks a lot like you." I say looking at Mac. "Yea but he's got your eyes." Mac says pointing to Jack as he opens his eyes. We just smile at each other and I call my mom letting her know that the new baby is here and that I'm okay.
When they get to the hospital the were only allowed to come in one at a time. Jack comes in first and I can tell he was crying last night. "Rye. Thank god your okay." He says walking in. "I'm fine. Would you like to meet your grandson?" I ask. "Yea. What's his name?" Jack asks. "Funny you should ask. It's Jack Jimmy MacGyver." I say smiling. I see Jack stand there shocked and I see a small tear escape. "You named him after me?" He says. Mac and I nod and he smiles. "I'm honored." He says. Next my mom comes in. When we tell her the name she's happy but I think she's more happy that we're okay. Mia comes in next with the twins. "He's so cute! And he looks just like Mac." Mia says. "Yea except his eyes." Mac says. "Does he have a name?" Mia asks. "Jack Jimmy MacGyver." I say and she smiles. "I like it. Can I give him a nickname?" She asks. "Sure." I say. "Jack Jack at least until he gets older." She says. "Incredibles. I like it." I say. Noel climbs up and looks at Jack Jack. She smiles then gives him a kiss on the forehead. I swear she's gonna be an amazing big sister. The future looks great and I'm with people I love. That's why I married him.
