Mac's POV

Once we got the seller in the car Riley was gone. I look in the truck realizing she isn't there. I run back inside but she isn't there either. I try getting her to respond over coms but it's no use. Jack is having trouble keeping the seller in the car so we head to the Phoenix. "Matty can you track Riley's coms?" I ask urgently. "No her coms were just turned off. Isn't she with you?" Matty says. "No someone got her while we were putting the seller in the truck." I say. Once we get back to the Phoenix I start pacing. "Were there any other cars there?" Matty asks. "I didn't see any. We didn't hear anything inside either. Whoever took her ran." I say. "Did she have her phone or anything on her?" Matty asks. "No. She never takes her phone on a mission." I say. Matty sends a search party to search the surrounding towns. Meanwhile I continue pacing feeling sick knowing she's probably scared right now. She's tough but being kidnapped has never been a good experience for her.

After about 2 hours of agonizing waiting Riley's voice comes through coms. "Mac?" "Riles. Riles where are you?" I ask. "I- I don't know. One of the sellers gaurds kidnapped me and brought me to a weird house but I don't recognize the neighborhood. I escaped and grabbed his phone and ran." She says. "We pinned your location. Looks like your about 30 minutes from here. I'm gonna send one of our search parties near you the coordinates." Matty says. "Riley can you explain what happened while you were kidnapped?" Leanna asks. "Someone came up from behind me while Jack and Mac were putting the seller in the truck and before I could scream for help they covered my mouth. I must have temporarily passed out cause I don't remember anything until I woke up in the back of a truck. The truck stopped and I was tied to a chair which I escaped thanks to a trick Mac taught me involving bobby-pins. I knocked the guy out grabbed his phone and ran." Riley says. I smile thinking about our conversation this morning regarding the bobby-pins she put in her hair. I thought she wasn't listening but boy was I wrong.

When Riley gets back to the Phoenix we hug each other and after a minute I just stare at her. "Are you okay?" I ask her. "I will be." She says. We sit down and Leanna tells us everything she was able to get out of the seller. He told us enough to shut down their whole operation. We all head home and while we are in the car I take this chance to talk to Riley alone. "What's up?" I ask. "What are you talking about?" She says trying not to let me see it in her eyes. Eventually I see her start barely tearing up. "You hated being in the back of the truck. It's one of your biggest fears. Your also upset about being kidnapped." I say. She just stares at me shocked. "How?" She asks. "Riles, I don't know. I'm not that accurate with anyone else. Usually I can decipher emotions and that's it but with you I just look in your eyes and it's like I'm seeing your thoughts. It's like I see every feeling your feeling all at once. Sometimes that really sucks because I hate seeing you upset but sometimes there is nothing I can do than tell you I'm here for you." I say. "And that's enough. Just knowing your here. Knowing you love me. That's all I need." She says. I smile as we pull up in front of the house. We walk in and Mia is waiting up for us. "Finally I thought you two would never get home." She says. Riley's mom just looks at her and laughs. "Thanks for watching them mom." Riley says. "I understand your jobs require you to leave for periods at a time. Plus I love these kids." She says. We all say our goodbyes and Mia heads to bed. Riley and I sit on the couch and I remember something. "So are you gonna tell me?" I ask. "What?" Riley asks very confused. "About what's up with Mia." I say. "Mac it's honestly not a big deal." Riley says. "Then just tell me." I say. "Fine. Mia got her period. It's honestly not surprising to me. I got mine when I was 10 and she's 11. I didn't tell you cause I didn't know how you'd react." She says. "Okay. So she's growing up. That doesn't change anything. I would never have that bad of a reaction to something like that." Mac says. Riley just smiles. "What are you smiling at?" I ask. "You know most men hate it when they hear their daughters or children get their period but your different. You don't care." Riley says. I just sit there shocked. Why would someone hate that hearing that their daughters got their period? It's a natural thing. It just means they're growing up. I guess people just don't have that mentality nowadays. Riley and I cuddle for a while watching tv before eventually going to bed.

Riley's POV

The next morning we wake up and my mom and Jack come over. Mia was in the twins' room playing with Izzy and my mom and I were talking about something. "So Jack and I decided since we are engaged we should start looking for a house or apartment near here but that's pretty challenging. We've been looking for about two weeks now." My mom says. "Mom if you wanted we could let you guys move in here. You could use the basement if that would make it easier." I say. "I'll have to talk to Jack about it but with you all working at the Phoenix it would make it a lot easier on everyone." She says. We continued talking for a while then I hear the doorbell ring. "I'll get it." I say. I open the door and Leanna is standing there. "Leanna? What's up?" I say. "Can I talk to you about something?" I nod and close the door stepping outside. "I'm scared to tell Bozer so I thought I would tell you first and see how that goes." She says. "Okay?" I say wondering what could be so bad she couldn't tell Bozer. "I'm pregnant." She says. I can't help but smile. "Congrats." I say. She looks at me relieved that my reaction wasn't bad. "Leanna you shouldn't be afraid to tell Bozer that. I know Bozer and believe me he is gonna be beyond excited." I say. We both laugh knowing how Bozer gets when he is excited about something. "Speaking of you and Bozer are you guys coming for game night Friday?" I ask. "Of course." She says. I'm honestly so happy for Bozer and Leanna they have been dating for almost 2 years and they are so close. A mini Bozer Leanna running around is gonna be adorable.
