▬▬ C L A I R E ▬▬
I WITNESSED SOMETHING THAT WAS QUITE EMBARRASSING.
We waited at the end of a long queue while waiting for it to at least move at the moment. We have been standing here for a few hours but it does not budge even after a few minutes. To be honest, I don't even know how much time had passed.
Since we were new students at this university, we had to wait in line just like the others. And because this school is a little popular, more students are trying to enroll this year.
There are even more boys than women enrolled here because this school is still known for being a champion in sports. I can still see in front of me those players who still seem to be wearing jerseys because of their training.
Gosh, what time are we even going to be finished with this?
To keep us from getting bored and sleepy, Sammie told me a few stories. She even mentioned our past experiences when we were still in high school - which even now I try to forget because most of what happened was embarrassing.
But, I was still not interested in what she was explaining. Ever since she became my friend, all she had been sputtering out were pure gossip.
The only good thing was that she never spoke a word or news about me to anybody else.
The good news is that she's not the type of treacherous friend who tells lies to others and betrays you - especially when you do not know that you are already being back-stabbed.
No, she wasn't like that. She was very kind and she even protects me from those who try to tarnish my image to others.
She's just a girl who loves to gossip, I guess.
Looking at my surroundings and averting my attention elsewhere, I was surprised to see a lot of girls shouting in excitement and swooning over someone. Curious, I immediately studied them.
I could see in their reaction that they were blushing and they could barely move due to fangirling over a guy.
Well, it looks like the students here are even worse than my previous ones. Or maybe I was just being too judgmental on the first day.
Of course, since I was just a new girl at this university, I just followed and passed a man who seemed to have a huge frown on his face. I guess he had a very bad day.
And when he was already past me, I immediately stopped in my tracks and then my eyes widened. I then realized who that guy was.
What the actual heck? He's here too?
He was wearing a red polo and slacks, he was tall and in good shape when he walked - his hands were still in his two pockets.
He combed his hair backward as he continued to ignore the women around him.
This guy looks like he's too serious to take everything lightly. Ha, who does he even think he is?
I just kept quiet and stood beside Samantha - who had her eyes focused on the man who went up right in front and not behind us.
Judging by his overconfidence, I'm sure that he had been at this university before. He's well-known by others so it is easier for him to line up than us.
When I looked to my left, Sam's face showed annoyance and impatience when that man passed by while a woman who looked like a college student - dressed professionally - followed.
I bet she's a friend or a relative.
From what she is wearing, you could already tell that she is not the type of woman who is happy-go-lucky. She didn't even smile at him. If you look closely at her, she still seems irritated.
