My eyes widened at the sight.

There he was in my closet, pulling out a pink dress that seems to be backless. It was still there since my mom wanted it to stay there.

But, pink isn't really my best color.

Taking the dress from his hands, my cheeks flushed red and I couldn't help but try to warn him without alarming my aunt. "Where did you even get this? Stop looking inside my closet!"

"Well, I just didn't expect that you'd like that color," he told me, making me more furious with him.

He just smiled at me, not answering. No words. He was just there, looking at me.

Excuse me? Isn't he guilty? I mean, he invaded my closet. Everyone should respect each and everyone's privacy. Why did he violate that?

"Next time, don't even think about taking my clothes," I asked him and punched him on the shoulder. He even pretended to be hurt and at the same time put his hand on his chest as if telling me that I hurt his feelings.

"Oh come on, I think the pink dress would suit you," he asked me with a foolish smile. Is this guy for real? He doesn't even know what that looked like on me.

Pulling him out, I decided to let him stand behind me. Since I still have to get ready for a trip to the mall, I walked towards my makeup desk and decided to do a little touch-up. Ethan wasn't getting the idea though.

"What are you doing?" he asked me, looking at the mirror as I put on some foundation and lipstick. I just blinked at him before giving him a shrug.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" Putting on some earrings, he pretended to think by putting his finger under his chin.

"You got a date?" he asked before letting out a cough.

"Don't tell me you're going to run away." My eyes furrowed at him as he shrugged.

"Neither of the two. I'm going to the mall with a friend," I replied before standing up and wearing my brown boots.

"Are you going to wear that pink dress that I showed earlier?" That question shocked me for a while.

I just punched him again as he burst out laughing. I'm not even going to argue. There's no point in trying.

"Are there any more clothes that you moved in my closet that I should know of?" I asked him again.

He smiled at me and replied, "Just the dresses. Never knew that you liked them too colorful."

When I heard those words, I suddenly hit him with a pillow.

"You're shameless! Don't you even know the word 'privacy', Ethan?" I said angrily as I continued to grab him.

He laughed even harder and suddenly took a pillow. He threw it at me and I was suddenly startled. Why in the face? I recently put on some makeup.

He was surprised when he saw that my face was already irritated and he realized that he threw the pillow hard.

"I'm so sorry Claire, I didn't mean to—" I interrupted him by raising my hand and shaking my head.

"I'm already late so I'll just leave you here." When he tried opening the door, I stopped him. It was not that time for him to play the gentleman card.

Before he could resist, I suddenly reminded him again. "And don't even think about going through my clothes again or you'll regret it."

The only thing that he did was look down. I guess he felt guilty that he tried rummaging through my closet.

Of course, he needs to know what privacy is too. He has no right to look in my closet. Especially taking those dresses that I own.

"Anyways, sorry again. It won't happen again," he apologized before he stepped out of my way and decided to stay silent.

Before I could even leave him some other rules, I heard my aunt calling me from outside. I guess they were getting impatient since I took too much time in my room.

"Claire! Why are you taking so long?" she shouted at me in an irritated tone.

I suddenly glanced back to Ethan and waved him off. I really have to go or else they'll suspect.

"You can leave. Your phone is in Sam's hand. I'll return it tomorrow. Please just close the gate and tell the guard to lock it." I said before patting him on the back.

"And how can I leave exactly? The guard's not there. And how am I supposed to get out unseen?" He asked me.

I suddenly pointed to the balcony in my room. He looked at me as if I had escaped the mental hospital.

"Are you crazy?" he asked me.

"You can use the ladder next to the balcony. Besides, that's a shortcut instead of walking. After all, you still look lazy."

"If I do that, you owe me a kiss," he told me.

"No thanks," I replied to him with a frown.

"Then, I won't do it. It's too high." He crossed his arms.

I just rolled my eyes at him. Of course, it was just my suggestion.

"Fine, just escape after we leave." I left the room at the same time when my aunt and Sam tried to walk toward my room.

"Alright, come on! I'm ready to go!" I said before pulling both of them away and finally outside of the house.

When I approached our guard, I whispered to him, "The guy from earlier, he'll leave after we drive out of this vicinity."

"He's still inside. Please don't tell my aunt." I gave him a hundred peso bill for the favor.

He just nodded and at the same time said to me, "Can I scare him, miss?"

I smiled at him.

"Sure. Do what it is that you want to do with him." I then walked to the car and saw the two waiting inside.

Sam, on the other hand, dragged me to the passenger seat and showed me her new phone, which is Ethan's.

Poor Ethan. If only you knew.
