I DID NOT EXPECT TO WAKE UP IN THIS ROOM.

I only remember one thing about our mountaineering trip but I never thought Vanessa would know what happened to me. When I fell on the mountain, I was sure I was still talking to her before she heard everything that happened to me.

Speaking of Vanessa, I immediately heard Yen's cell phone ring.

I also noticed that my sister told my classmates to go out. I thought I could talk to them but it doesn't seem possible if she's around.

I cannot talk. I cannot do anything. Yen even looked at me in those moments and smiled at me.

I wanted to stop her but I couldn't do anything when she suddenly accepted the call and answered. Why now?

I know that my sister won't refuse since Vanessa also comes from a rich family and our parents liked her. Honestly, who can even say no to them?

"Hello, Vanessa! I was waiting for your — wait are you crying? What happened?" I heard Yen ask. I didn't take my eyes off her because I was afraid she might say something wrong.

"What happened to Ethan? Is he alright? When is he coming back?"

I could still hear Vanessa's voice since her loud voice could be heard from where I'm laying. Yen peeked for a moment before she turned the call into speaker mode so I could hear what my girlfriend was saying.

"Don't worry too much. The doctor said he was alright. He just fell from a mountain," she answered while looking at my reaction. I just nodded because even though we were still lying. Vanessa already knew what had happened. It's like she already knows everything.

"What? How did that happen? Why is he even on that mountain?" Vanessa asked but she still didn't stop there.

"Does he have friends coming along? He lied to me! He told me he was alright. Does he have any girls on his side? "I could do nothing but listen to her voice and take a deep breath.

It's irritating, really. I have to endure her scolding me every time. I'm old enough to take care of myself. She always nags.

"Tell me the truth, Yen. Don't you lie to me! Please!"

"No, they're just a group of boys telling Ethan to try mountaineering. You know your little husband, don't you? He would never ever replace you." I glared at my sister as she burst out laughing.

Wife? Is she still pushing that woman on me?

"I'll call you back Vanessa. We're still here at the hospital. Don't worry, it's just one day. There are still some scars and wounds that need to be taken care of. I'm not really sure if you wanted to see him right now. "

"At least he's alright. I'm relieved that you didn't lie to me. It's fine if he has scars and wounds. Tell him, I love him."

My eyes widened when I heard this. Wait, she loves me?

"Yen, I'll just finish my school year. And next year, I will go there to finally be with him. Ethan told me that he'll stop there for a little bit of time but I don't believe him. I know he's not coming back soon. "

"After all, I think it's much better if I come and study there since I could watch Ethan. I don't want him to be stubborn sometimes. I'm a bit worried about him lately." This is the last thing Vanessa said so I sat up from my bed immediately.

Even though it hurts me to move, I can't help but panic. Not possible. I will lose my freedom when that happens. She may be happy because she's here and she'll be able to see me.

But, what about me?

Yen noticed my sudden reaction. I just swallowed when I waited for her to say something else. I want to be happy even for a moment. But, why does she seem to make that simple wish, impossible?

Is she fvcking obsessed with me?

Before I could speak, my sister stopped me and held my hand. I saw her shake her head for a moment before she answered Vanessa. "Take care for now. Be happy, alright? I'll call you back. I'm sure Ethan would call you after he wakes up."

Yen smiled at me and immediately cut off the call without even saying goodbye. Maybe she felt that I was no longer happy with what I was hearing so she gave me a moment to breathe.

I felt sad when I heard my sister and Vanessa talk. Vanessa decided to return to the Philippines. I can't smile. She's trying to choke me with this toxic relationship of ours. When she comes home, I'm sure I won't be able to get away with her.

I should know what I will do before she comes here to the Philippines.

No, I need to make sure that she doesn't come here at all.

"So, you're really okay with letting her go back," I told my sister as she laughed at me as if I was crazy. I know again that there is a possibility that our mother has already talked to her. Maybe she had gotten paid too.

But when I saw the glare she had and crossed arms she was showing, I could already tell that she was still not in favor of this. "Are you crazy? I don't like her going to the house as if she owns it."

"It's so annoying," she said as I smiled at her.

"Thank you, sister—" After I thanked her, she frowned at me now and stared.

"This is for me, you know. I do not want to be with her in the same house," she replied to me while I couldn't help but laugh. And here, I really thought that she wasn't worried about me. She's still my sister so I know what she's thinking.

Before I could even speak, I heard my stomach growling. Yen stared at me as I just grabbed my stomach and immediately looked away. Embarrassing. Are you serious right now?

"I'll buy some food first so you can eat." Yen then bid farewell and left immediately. She knew that my condition wasn't that bad and all that I need to do was to rest.

I know Vanessa hates me right now. But even so, I will not talk to her first. My world is too chaotic. My head might hurt even more if I hear her voice again.

A few minutes later, I was surprised when Benedict entered the room.

"Are you okay, buddy? The doctor said you need to stay here for a few more days."

I was about to answer when I heard a noise outside. It looks like our teammates and those girls in the other room. I frowned when I heard a voice familiar to us.

"Who are those people yelling outside?" I immediately asked Benedict as he lowered his bag and answered.

"Our teammates and those seniors in the other room. It looks like the friend of the patient in the other room is going crazy with fighting over those players," he explained to me.

"Do you remember the woman you decided to play a prank on the road? That friend of hers is the one shouting." I frowned at what Benedict had told me.

She's here?
