▬▬ C L A I R E ▬▬
A DAY HAD ONLY PASSED but I still can't forget what happened to me before - which was the reason why I had to go back to the university. All the files that I had worked so hard to carry - even if it was just a Xerox - had been ruined and cannot be valid for my enrollment. And that happened because of that man's audacity to speed up his car.
Rude.
The bad news is that wherever I go, I kept seeing that same face. That same troublesome guy. That guy never fails to make me angry, I swear.I did nothing but laugh for a moment at what happened to him but he seemed offended and even thought of getting revenge on me. To be honest, I never even wanted this to happen.
But, I guess fate totally had other plans for me.
When I returned that day and explained it to my aunt, she immediately became angry with me. She told me that I should not have let that happen and that I should have handled my files. Because of that, I wasted the fare on nothing - which was actually really expensive for me since it was included in my budget.
To make it worse, she scolded me and told me that I should've just put it inside my bag rather than holding it. I could almost remember the words she told me while I remained silent from her scolding. True to her word, she literally gave me a bag that didn't really suit my taste.
Just imagine a senior high school student carrying a Hello Kitty bag.
Hell no. I won't carry that thing everywhere I go. So, I had to improvise. Instead of bringing that thing, I took out my old bag before putting all my things inside. I couldn't actually walk in the university with the gift that my aunt gave me, no offense. Never.
I took my bag again to put the files myself to be able to enroll permanently in the university and went downstairs to say goodbye to my aunt. I can see that she frowned at me as soon as she saw me carrying my old bag instead of the one she gave me.
I was just surprised when she tried to stop me in my tracks.
"Claire, make sure you come home early, alright? Your mom entrusted me to take good care of you," my aunt told me before I could open the door.
"Yes, Aunt Mich. But, you also have to know that I'm not a baby anymore," I replied without smiling. "And also, you can call Samantha to make sure."
My aunt immediately nodded before letting me go. Finally, she didn't protest.
I straightened my hair in front of the mirror, smiled, opened the door, and went out. Picking up my phone, I immediately sent a message to my friend.
To: Sammie
Hey Sammie, let's meet up! All of my requirements are ready. Aunt Mich allowed me to go back to school so I could take care of my enlistment. As I waited for Sam's response, I immediately thought about it. It wasn't really a wonder why she just let me go on my own. She knows that Sam will almost be my personal bodyguard when we meet.
And since she's close to my aunt, she'll serve as a messenger and tell her my every move while we're together - and to be honest, it actually became a habit to me.
A few seconds later, she immediately replied. Though, it was just a simple message to tell me where and when she'd wait for me.
Sammie | 07:30 am
Already? All right, let's meet at 7:50. Just at Hawkings so we can roam and eat, okay? I'll try to be early this time, I promise.Maybe Sam was forced to come back again because she didn't submit the requirements or she wants to be with someone while she enrolls. She wasn't really the type of joining in alone, you know.
