After we left the arena, we decided to eat first since Benedict and Ethan got hungry after the match. Sam and I just smiled as we sat in the back seat of Ethan's car.
Benedict, on the other hand, was in the shotgun. Ethan was the one driving and he told us to get comfortable.
Ethan looked at Sam and me in the mirror, asking if we had already decided where to go. "So, where are we off to?"
Sam and I smiled at once in response. "Vista Springs?"
Ethan's chuckled as he drove. I could tell that he was surprised since most of our classmates' typical responses were all telling them that they should decide.
But knowing that this is probably the only chance we get to explore, it was better not to waste it.
Sam relaxed in her seat, cheery as soon as she saw that Ethan gave a thumbs up. Benedict, on the other hand, had his lips curled into a frown with his arms crossed on his chest.
"You know, that sounds like a good idea. Let's try something new. Maybe we can find some restaurants there too," he answered before turning his attention to Benedict.
Considering that there was not much traffic, Ethan easily drove to our destination. It took us almost fifteen to twenty minutes before we finally try to find a spot in the parking lot of the building.
It was spacious so Benedict pointed right in the middle — not too close and not too far for walking back to the mall.
As soon as the car stopped, Sam nudged my shoulder and pointed at a red Lamborghini, which was driving in our direction and seems to park right across us.
At first, I couldn't see the man's face once he got out of the car — considering that he was wearing a black cap on his head and proceeding to hide his face.
But once his head looked up, Sam and I widened our eyes when the team captain of the Blue Eagles was the one staring at Ethan's car.
Noticing how Benedict sat upright, I guess he was as surprised as we were.
"Why is he here?" Ethan mumbled under his breath before taking off his seatbelt.
Judging how he wanted to almost throw his seatbelt once he got it off him, he was furious. I mean, that guy probably doesn't know that I already met Vanessa through a phone call.
Once he finally got out of the car, we decided to do the same. The car's engine was already off so we might as well follow.
As soon as I opened the car door, I could hear Ray laughing as Ethan closed his fists in irritation.
"Believe me, it was not my intention to follow you. I was here to meet a friend." Ray couldn't help but curl his lips into a fake smile when Ethan glared at him and eyed him.
"Liar. I've seen you countless times," Ethan countered before Ray shrugged at what he said. As he tried to look away, I could see him scoffing.
He's probably following Ethan on purpose. There was no way that you'd be in the same place and at the same time with someone. That would sound suspicious.
"I assure you, it was not intentional." That was the only answer Ray could come up with before approaching and patting Ethan's shoulder. "I think you should get going now. Best not to let the ladies wait."
After he did, Ray finally walked away from us — his hands going inside his pockets.
As soon as he was out of sight, Ethan let out a sigh of exasperation and kicked an empty can that was right beside him. "That guy's nerve. I almost wanted to drag him in front of me."
