TW: THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS BLOOD
—————————————————————————
There he was, I thought to myself. The man that I have been calling a monster from hell for the past few months. Here we were going to the Yule Ball together, being forced to go together.

Tom spotted me from the top of the stair case. He looked up at me with no expression on his face. I made my way down the staircase slowly and nervously, trying to keep a smile on my face to hide how nervous I was.

I have got to the bottom of the stair case. I stopped to look at Tom, waiting for him to say something.

"Thoughts?" I asked him timidly.

"None," He smirked at me, "Just, wow." He paused, "What can I say? You look great."

"Thank you Tom," i said while eyeing him up and down, "You look quite great yourself."

"Why thank you darling," He smirk became bigger, he sighed awkwardly, "Wow. Tonights the night. Are you nervous?"

"A little," I admitted, "You?" I asked him.

"No, not really," He shrugged his shoulders.

"Well, uh...." I said awkwardly, "Should we...go? We don't want to be late."

"Yeah, let's go," He nodded. He held out his arm. I just looked at him awkwardly, "Take my arm. That's why I'm holding it out." He mumbled to me.

"Oh, ok," I blurted out as I took his arm slowly. He gripped my hand tightly. I felt my heartrate speed up by every passing second. As we walked through the dimly candle lit hallways arm in arm, I couldn't help but feel Tom glance over at me every so often, his sharp glare stung my skin like a wasp on a hot summer day.

"Don't be nervous, everything will be okay," He murmured to me as we walked down the stairs.

"I'm not nervous," I told him.

"I can see it in your face, you're nervous. I'm 99.9 percent sure," He told me confidently.

I ignored him as we walked into the great hall. Not surprisingly people were already there, gathering together in crowd and talking.

People showed of their dress robes and dresses to their friends. Soft calming music started to play.

"Have you ever been to the Yule Ball before?" I looked over at Tom who seemed like he had never seen something like this before.

"No," He shook his head, "I would usually stay in my room, but I can't since...you know..."

I nodded my head, we were interrupted by Mcgonagall coming up to us.

"Good, you two are here." She smiled, "The first dance should start in a few minutes. For the remainder of the time you can talk to your friends or something," She told us.

"Thank you, professor," Tom nodded his head and looked back down at me. Mcgonagall walked away, going over to another group of students.

"Look, theres Pansy!" I spotted across the room, "Let's go." I pulled Tom by the hand, but he pulled me back to my original spot.

"I'm not going over there," He told me.

"Why not?" I asked him eagerly, looking over at Pansy who was talking to Blaise and Draco.

"Malfoy is over there," He shook his head.

"Just ignore him," I told him, He gave in and walked over towards them.

"Hey, Victoria," Pansy chirped, She looked at Tom, "Hey Tom."

"I see you got a girlfriend, Riddle," Draco tormented.
