I woke up staring at the dark ceiling like I did the night before. The sun peaked through the curtains, causing the room to be dimly lit.
I blinked a few times to get used to the brightness of the room before hopping quietly out of my bed, being careful that I wouldn't wake Pansy up.
I got changed into a dark green flannel with a black shirt under it and some black ripped jeans. I put on my moms necklace and admired the charm for a few seconds. I took out my makeup bag and started to put a line of concealer under my eyes and then blending it in with a sponge. I then put a little bit of mascara on my lashes and a little bit of eyeliner to be extra. I took out my chapstick and started to apply it to my lips. I put my make up away and started to judge myself quietly in my head.
I headed downstairs into the common room. Students gathered around the fire and talked to each other. Some people were heading out of the common room to go get breakfast.
"Hey, Victoria," I heard Draco's voice coming towards me. His blonde hair was neatly combed and he was wearing a black vest over a white collared shirt and some black trousers.
"Hey Draco," I smiled, "Is Blaise still asleep?"
"Tom was doing his usual last night so he didn't go to sleep until 2.00 or something. You know....he was groaning and banging on the walls." He explains.
"I see," I nodded and looked into the fire, "Wanna go get breakfast?"
"Yeah, but what about Blaise and Pansy?" He asks.
"Just let them sleep," I shrugged, "They can wake up whenever their ready."
"Ok, let's go," Draco and I walk out of the common room and through the corridors, passing several students on our way to the great hall. When we got there a few students we're sitting down at their houses table.
We sat down at the end of the slytherin table next to a few other slytherin who we're minding their own business while eating breakfast. I explained to Draco what I was going to say to Ryder today.
"I'm going to tell him to meet me in the courtyard today at around three o clock. I'm going to talk out the situation with him and we will possibly figure this out," I explained to Draco. Draco looked at me with an understanding expression on his face. He nodded and continued to eat his pancakes, "You understood what I said right?"
"Yeah," He said calmly without looking up from his pancakes, "I'm just still surprised on what happened last night at the party. Why did he act that way?"
"Anger issues I suppose," I mumbled while eating a slice of toast with strawberry jam on it.
"Yeah," He nodded his head in agreement, "Question, did something happen between you and Tom last night? I think I saw him going out in the hallway a few seconds after you."
"Yeah actually," I finished up the last bit of my toast before opening my mouth again, "When I was heading back to the common room he stopped me and h-he told me how pathetic I was and how Ryder and I's relationship is falling apart. So we ended up fighting about it and then he asked me...."
"He asked you what?" Draco says after a few seconds of silence.
"If we wanted to start over," I replied and swallowed the lump in my throat. The memories from last night made me feel sick to my stomach. I pushed my plate away and stood up, "I'm not hungry anymore."
"Ok," He nodded his head, understanding how the situation made me uncomfortable to talk about, "Would you like to sit down and change the subject?"
"I should probably go find Ryder," I said nervously, "I need to tell him to meet me in the court yard later. I'll talk to you then,"
"Ok," Draco says as I walked down the aisle and out of the great hall, passing Filch and Mrs. Norris on my way out. I nervously fidgeted with my thumbs while I walked up several flights of stairs and past the room of requirements. Once I got to the common room I mumbled 'Pureblood' and entered the common room, trying not to get noticed by anyone while I walked up into the boys dormitories.
I stood outside Ryder's door for what seemed like hours. His light was still of and I could hear him lightly snoring from inside. Was it worth it to wake him up or should I just wait for him to get up?
It took me a minute to realize that the snoring has stopped and that he was now walking around his room. Softly, I knocked on his door and stepped back immediately. After a few seconds of silence I heard his footsteps come closer to the door. The door swung open.
Ryder's usual quiffed hair was all messy in his face which made him look way hotter than he already was. He only wore sweatpants that hung lowly on his waist, exposing his bare tanned torso. Dark circles we're visible under his eyes.
"Hi," I said awkwardly, He said nothing, "I was wondering if we could maybe talk...not right now, but...you know."
"Come in," He ordered. I was suprised at his words. I was expecting him to turn me away or tell me that we will talk about it later. I walked inside and he shut his door behind me.
"I was actually going to ask you the same question," He said after a few seconds of silence, "Sit down."
We sat down on the bed next to each other, then Ryder opened his mouth, "Listen, we need to figure out what we're going to do with...our relationship." He stalls.
"Yeah," I nodded my head in agreement, "It's either we break up or figure this out. I don't want to be in a relationship if we are ignoring each other and fighting all the time."
"Agreed," He nodded his head, "I think we should work this out because I love you so much, Victoria," He grabs my hand and starts rubbing it with his thumb, "I don't want you to leave me."
"I don't either Ryder," I laid my head down on huis bare shoulder. He starts to play with my hair before speaking again.
"But question, did McGonagall actually tell you and Tom that you guys had to go to the dance together?" He asks.
"Yes," I nodded my head, "You can even ask Tom if you want. Although you might be walking out of his room with a bruised eye." I giggled lightly.
"Yeah," He giggled, "I believe you though, so I won't. Sorry for getting angry last time. I was going through a few rough patches last few weeks."
"Why? What happened?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Oh," He looked down into his lap and then back up at me, "My parents, they are getting a divorce."
"Really?" I looked at him with a frown, I wrapped my arms around him and embraced him into a tight hug, "I'm so sorry..."
"It's okay, Vic," He pulls me onto his lap and plants a kiss on my cheek, "I have you back now, that's all that matters to me."
We hugged each other for the next few minutes before Ryder opened his mouth again, "I'm hungry, let's go get some breakfast."
"I ate already," I said calmly, "I'll come though."
"Ok," He smiled, "Let me just get changed first and do my hair."
He got changed into his outfit which contained of a black tee shirt and some black jeans. Then he combed his hair and applied a little bit of gel to it.
"Ready to go," I asked him while I took his hand in mine.
"Yes," He smiled, "Let's go."
We walked down into the common room and to the great hall. We both sat down and talked as he started eating. After a few minutes go by we we're interrupted by Pansy and Blaise plopping down across from us.
"Hey Victoria, Hey Ryder," Pansy smiled at both of us. Blaise nods his head cooly.
"Hey guys," He mumbles out. They both started to eat toast with strawberry jam on it. I looked at Ryder and smiled. He smiled back and kissed me on the forehead.
Just like that he was mine again.
