Ryder and I spent most of the day together; we went to the library and studied, walked through the corridors and having random conversation, everything felt as if it did before. We were about to go on a walk, but wanted to grab our jackets first in case it was cold.
"Are you ready to go slow poke," Ryder said with a small smirk on his face.
"Well who was the one that got up last this morning," I joked, "Hint; it's not me."
"Whatever," Ryder playfully rolls his eyes at me, "Let's just go outside before it gets dark."
We walked to the courtyard and stared into the sky with our cold hands stuffed into our pockets. The sky was a nice shade of dark blue fading into a purple shade.
"The sky looks nice," I said to Ryder trying to break the silence between us. I looked over at him to see him look back at me and smile, showing his pearly white teeth.
"Come on," He held out his hand for me to take, "Let's go to the astronomy tower, theres a great view up there."
"Ok," I smiled as I took his hand. As we started to walk there we were stopped by Tom who had his arms wrapped around another hoe from slytherin.
"You again," He muttered, he looked at me and gave me a dirty look and then looked at Ryder, "I see you and your girlfriend fixed your relationship. Is that correct, Skyes?"
"Yes, and what does that have to do with you Riddle," He furrowed his eyebrows and squeezed my hand tight.
"It's nice to see that your relationship isn't falling apart anymore," He said sarcastically, "You guys are really the problem solvers."
"Shut up Riddle, bo one gives any fucks that you have a new hoe," Ryder looked at the girl that Tom had his arms around, she gave him a dirty look and he looked back up at Tom.
"Well congratulations on getting your relationship back into one piece guys," Tom glances over at me with a sly smile, "What a pity it would be if it fell apart again."
"You're wasting your time Riddle," Ryder glances at me and says, "We're going to the astronomy tower, if you won't mind getting out of the way, please do."
"Whatever," Tom rolled his eyes in annoyance and pushed past us while dragging his hoe along with him.
"Let's just go. Don't think about him he is an asshole." Ryder said as he squeezed my hand. We walked to the astronomy tower and reached the top receiving a better view of the sky. Ryder had his arm wrapped around me tightly and would eventually turn to me to give me a few kisses on the forehead every so often.
"What would I do if we didn't apologize, Vic," He asks me. I turned to him and looked at him with my furrowed eyebrows.
"I don't know," I shrugged, "I don't know the answer to that one."
"Listen, I know this is probably something that you don't want to bring up or anything but, What are your thoughts on Tom? I'm just curious."
I think for a second before opening my mouth again, "I-I don't know, I never really thought of that to be honest."
"Hm," He nods his head slowly and looks back up into the sky.
"I mean I don't like him of course," I said after a few seconds of silence, "but I never really had thought on him."
"i get it," He nodded his head slowly. We both looked up into the now navy blue sky. It was getting dark out quickly like it has been for a few weeks. Winter was coming soon, which also meant ghat the yule ball was coming up soon and that I would have to dance with Tom.
Then I felt something small and cold land on my hand, it melted instantly. I looked down at my hand, and then up at the sky to see that white snowflakes were falling from up above.
"It's snowing," I said quietly as more snowflakes bit at my skin along with the cold calm breeze.
"Winters coming," He said calmly, "You know what else that means." He looked at me and rolled his eyes.
"The yule ball, I have to go with Tom," I said in annoyance, "I really don't want to go."
"Especially with him," He said, I nodded my head in agreement, "I wish we could go together, that way you would be more excited about it."
Then the question hit me in the mind; Who was Ryder going with?
"Mind if I ask you a question?" I asked.
"Not at all," He shook his head slowly, keeping his eyes focused on the moon.
"Who are you going to the yule ball with?" I looked at him with my eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh," He mumbled, "I...don't know really. I really don't want to go with anyone...except you," He looks at me and winks, my cheeks turn a light pink color.
"I wish I didn't have to go with him," I mumbled under my breath.
"What?"
"I wish that I didn't have to go to the dance with Tom, I'd rather go with you," I repeated my words.
"Hmm," He mumbled with his mouth closed, "We should probably go back to the common room. It's getting late."
"Okay?" I smiled at him, "Let's go."
We walked side by side to the common room silently.
"So," He started after a few seconds of staring at each other, "Guess I'll see you tomorrow?"
I nodded my head and smiled at him. Then he connected our lips together. Passionately we kissed with our eyes closed.
I opened my left eye to have a small peek to see if anyone was watching us. I scanned the room to see Riddle with a puzzled look on his face while looking angry at the same time.
I closed my eyes again until we lulled away from each other.
"So uh....." Ryder stumbles as he starts walking towards the boys dormitories, still facing me, "I'll see you tomorrow...at some point." He then disappeared into the boys dormitories, leaving me there deep in my thoughts.
It took me a few seconds to realize that Tom was now standing in front of me. I had been so focused on my thoughts that I wasn't aware of what was happening around me.
"You guys probably shouldn't be kissing in the common room," He ordered, "There are first years here."
"So what," I furrowed my eyebrows, "They're old enough to know what kissing is."
"So that's something that you should do in private," He said calmly, "It's weird to kiss in front of a crowd of people."
"What does this have to do with you?" I shook my head, "Shouldn't you be with your hoe?"
"One, she's not my hoe anymore and number two..." He thinks for a second, "Never mind." He starts walking a way before I opened my mouth.
"You're a dick you know," I sneered.
"You told me that already, Larson," He said while not taking a single glance at me, "And there are first years here."
I rolled my eyes in annoyance and walked up into the girls dormitories. I opened up the door to see Pansy sitting on her bed doing homework, papers scattered all over her bed.
"Seems like you had fun today," She smiled while looking back down at her homework.
"Yeah," I said while walking into the room and sitting down onto my bed, "Of course Tom had to ruin it."
"You just have to ignore him, Vic," She started.
"I'm trying Pansy, he's everywhere," I exclaim while laying down on my pillow.
"Like Blaise said, don't acknowledge him, he won't talk to you if you don't acknowledge him. It works," She said while not looking up from her homework.
"I'm tired," I said while looking up at the bare ceiling, "I'm going to bed." I walked over and got changed quickly into my pajamas before hopping in bed and drifting to sleep.
