That weekend Pansy and I stayed in our dorm most of the time. I would read another book that Tom gave me and end up finishing it at the end of the day before going to sleep.

Pansy was almost convinced that I liked Riddle, I kept denying her. Although, I had a feeling as if she was right.

I felt like ever since that night in the library, he showed me a new side to him. The rebel almost cheery type. That was the part that made me feel different about him.

Although at the same time another side of him would show. The dark side of him. The reserved aggressive side. That night he shamed my mom for being a muggle, I couldn't forgive him for that.

It almost felt like mixed feelings. When you go from liking a person one second to wanting them to rot in hell the next. A love-hate relationship if you want to say that.

The next morning was Monday. I woke up to the bright peak of the sun shining through the blinds. Pansy woke up a few minutes after me. Together we got changed into our uniforms and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Then we went to our classes as a usual day would go. Tom who was in most of my classes would say hi to me as I went to class.

The Yule Ball was coming up in two days and I've been feeling more nervous by the minute. I could imagine walking into the great hall together.

I couldn't focus on my homework that evening. No matter how much I tried my mind would alway wander back to the Yule Ball thought. Then I would come up with realistic senerios in my head about what would happen.

I managed to get all of my homework done with the thought of the yule ball still on my mind. 'It probably wasn't my best but at least I did it' I thought to myself.

After that I went to bed. As always, Pansy fell asleep first while I lied in bed, drowning in my thoughts like a deep ocean.

Tuesday came along the next day. I did the usual as I did almost every morning; wake ip, get dressed, and head down to the great hall.

Today was christmas eve, the day before the Yule Ball. The word was all over school. Girls bragging to their friends about who they were taking to the dance.

"I'm going with Malfoy," Pansy told me as we ate lunch in the great hall, she seemed to notice that something was off about me, "Is everything okay?" She asks.

"Yup," I nodded slowly.

"You look...off," She stalled.

"I'm fine," I sighed and continued to eat.

"You're nervous about the dance aren't you?" She predicted.

"Yeah, obviously," I said sarcastically.

"It will be okay, just go with it and then.." She thinks, "Act like nothing happened after. It will be all over by then!"

"Yeah, I know It's just..." I stalled, "I can't seem to get him off my mind."

"Who, Tom?" She asked me, I nodded my head, "You definitely like him, I can see it."

"No I don't Pansy," I sighed.

"If you say so," She smirked.

"I'm serious," I told her.

"If you say so," She repeated, her lips curled into an evil smirk.

As we finished up our lunch we headed off to the rest of our classes for the day. My next class was potions. I walked past students through the dimly candle lit halls.

Once I reached the potions classroom, I was introduced by Professor Slughorn who was setting up todays lesson.

"Victoria!" He chirped, "You're here early! Have a seat!"
