Cass smiled when she saw Jack, then flushed, does her dad and Hannah know he is in her bedroom, OMG! He grinned, and held out his arms, “Cass I have to hold you, I won’t sleep without you and before you start worrying, I left and then came in your window, so no your dad and Hannah don’t know I’m here.”

A look of relief flashed across Cass’s eyes, then her smile grew even wider as she flung herself into Jack’s open arms, she slept so much better with him and had been worried about tossing and turning half the night. She snuggled into him, pulling the covers over them, her head resting against his bare chest, the sparks were flying, her insides heating up, she wanted him with very fibre of her being, and yet she wasn’t ready to fully commit to the final stages of mating, she wanted to shift first so that her wold fully benefitted from it as well, and for this her wolf was happy, she wanted to meet Jack’s wolf.

Jack leant down and kissed her lips, a deep kiss, that caused fireworks to explode inside her body and head, she returned the kiss fervently, feeling his hands as they roamed over her body, leaving a trail of want on every inch of her skin, she was slowly being consumed with need, the flames licking at her very core. Jack pulled back, his eyes had changed to black, Cass knew it was his wolf, she looked into those eyes, touching his cheek gently she just said, “I know, I need you to, but I want to wait until I shift I want my wolf to be fully here for you, can you wait a few more days?”

Jack’s head nodded  and the black eyes began to retreat, Jack’s brown ones slowly emerging again, he looked at her tucking a piece of her hair gently behind her ear, he whispered, “I promise I will wait as long as you want me to Cass, as will my wolf, we love you, we don’t want to rush you but I have never wanted or needed anything as much as I want you now. You are so beautiful not just on the outside but on the inside, thank you for being so perfect.”

I smiled, “It won’t be long Jack, I want to shift first, I want to get to know my wolf first, I want to feel the total pull of a mate, I feel it at the moment but not as intensely as you, I love you to.”

Cass, turned spooning her back to back into Jack’s warm chest, he tightened his arm around her waist removing any space left between them and they both fell into a deep sleep.

The sun shone brightly through the curtains, Cass woke with a smile, she could feel Jack staring at her, she could feel his love enveloping her, she slowly opened one eye then the other to see Jack leaning up on one arm, staring at her with  a silly smile on his face, “Happy Birthday Cass, I wanted to be the first person to wish you a very, very happy birthday,” and then he kissed her, a brief kiss with a promise of more to come later.

She sat up a smile on her face, “Thanks Jack, I can’t believe I’m finally 18.”

She got up and was heading to the bathroom when Jack said, “I’m heading home to get changed, and will meet you downstairs for breakfast in 20 minutes.” With that he opened the window and shifted as he jumped out.

Cass went into the bathroom smiling and humming a song, she felt really happy at the moment, she had a quick shower, brushed her teeth and then slung on some clothes and headed downstairs.

When she entered the kitchen, they were all gathered around the table and began to sing Happy birthday to her, her dad was the first to get up and give her a hug followed by Hannah, John and Roisin and lastly Jack a huge grin across his face. Hannah placed a gift in front of her from herself and her dad, “Happy Birthday Cass,” she said.
