Cass’s POV

We showered together, gently soaping each other’s bodies, making love again in the shower. My appetite for Jack was insatiable, he only had to look at me or touch me and my body heated up and all I wanted was to drag him back to bed. If I was going to get fed this morning, I had to get dressed quickly and get out before he could give me that look again. We dried each other and then went into the room, I went into my closet, dragging on jeans and a loose top, threw on some socks and boots and headed out only to see him with his jeans hug loose over his hips about to pull on a white t-shirt. I licked my lips, what the hell was wrong with me, he looked up and saw the lust in my eyes, “Cass, you’re hungry, stop looking at me like that or it won’t be food you’ll be getting.” He pulled the t-shirt down covering his delicious torso, then took my hand and dragged me out of the bedroom and down to the kitchen from where the most delicious smell was wafting towards me. My stomach growled, Jack laughed, “Let’s get you fed,” then leaning in closer and nibbling my ear, “I want you to have full energy for later.” With that I could feel myself wet again. What the hell?

We went into the kitchen; they were all sitting, they looked at us, then I could see them all sniff, Hannah had a goofy grin on her face, dad and John looked a little sterner, Roisin was bouncing round. She was the first to break the silence, “You MATED!”

How did they all know? Hannah saw my confused look, “Honey, your scents are now mixed, I can smell Jack off you and you off him!” I could feel my cheeks burn, I cannot believe this my dad and family actually know what I was up to last night, bloody werewolves and there sense of smell.

Jack took my hand and guided me to the table, John looked directly at Jack, “Hurt her and I will kill you!”

Jack looked him back in the eye, “You know I could never hurt her, I love her she is my mate, I will only ever cherish and protect her.” He grabbed his plate and started to load it with food, then loaded mine encouraging me to eat.

Dad spoke next, “Cass, just be careful, I’m not quite sure I’m ready to be a granddad yet, but I’m glad you have found you’re mate baby!”

I could feel my insides go into turmoil, shit we hadn’t used any protection, shit, we had done it so many times, I tried to think where I was in my cycle, my mind a total blank, I felt Jack squeeze my hand and then say, “It’s Ok, you’re safe until you go on heat!”

“Heat?”

Dad and John looked down at their breakfast, Hannah looked up, “Emmm you see when you mate within two weeks you go into heat, it’s a time when we get pregnant, it happens three times a year, and you are at your most fertile then!” I could feel my cheeks blush, as she continued, “You will want to keep Jack close by during that time.”

I didn’t want to hear anymore, I needed to change the subject, they were all sitting round the table talking about my sex life and my bloody body that was going to go it some kind of heat, I remember our neighbours dog had gone into heat and had every male dog howling at the back door for a bloody week. I looked up and calmly said, “Pass the ketchup please.”

John burst out laughing, “You have just heard all that and you ask for ketchup?”

“It’s called diverting attention away from myself John and you aren’t helping, change of subject please!”

“OK,” he said, “Training starts today, midday out back.”

“What? No, I want to rest,” I replied.

“Rest from what?” he said raising his eye brows.

I could feel myself blushing again, bloody brothers, “From my shift of course, I am a bit tired!”

“Cass, we need to start training, you heard your mum, it’s important, what about if we just train for three hours today?”

“Three hours? Three hours? Are you serious? I was thinking maybe 30 minutes!”

“Two hours and that’s my final offer!”

I just nodded, then grumbling away to myself I ate my breakfast.

Jack and I were out back at midday, John looked at Jack, “I think it’s better if you’re not here Jack, You won’t like it when I attack Cass and she has to defend herself.”

“I’m staying John!”

“Fine, but stay out of it, I’m training her not you.”

We got into our stances, “We will fight as humans first and wolves later OK?” John said, “I will come at you and see where you are, how your defences are.”

I wasn’t bothered, I had done self-defence, I had almost beaten 3 rogues, almost but not quite. John ran at me, I deflected his kicks, time and time again, every punch he threw I rebounded, then I decided to attack, my left leg, hit his stomach, whilst my right then followed up clipping his head, he fell.

I stood back, “Can I go now?” I asked as he tried to stand up.

He looked at me, “Bloody hell nice move, I thought I’d go easy on you, you really do have some ninja moves. Tomorrow, we fight in wolf form, you are perfect in human, hell you could train some of us, I’m gonna talk to dad about it!”

He got up and left, and I could feel, Jack’s arm go around me, “You were magnificent, watching you so aggressive has made me so…….”his lips met mine, then he picked me up bridal style and we headed down to my cabin, to finish off what he had just started.

We reached the cabin, and he gently placed me on the sofa, then went over to the heater and turned it on, “Not that I intend to give you a chance to get cold.”

He walked back towards me, eyes lustful, his scent full of testosterone, ooooooh I could feel myself wet already and all he was doing was looking at me, then I thought, “Jack before we do this, explain the heat to me!”

He stopped shaking his head, as if trying to clear it of his earlier thoughts, then he sat down beside me, “It’s called the heat and basically it happens about two weeks after mating, you will initially feel a warmth in your stomach, that will turn into a full blown burning sensation with pain unless, unless I release you, that is we make love.”

“That doesn’t sound too bad, I am happy to make love to you Jack you know that!”

“Emmmm, you see you will continually horny for 72 hours, if I don’t release you, your scent will grow stronger and stronger and you would mate any  male around and every male who isn’t mated will be able to smell you and they will be hovering - so I intend to be with you holed up in our room for that entire period.”

“72 Hours of me being Horney you say, now that’s gonna need a lot of stamina Jack, are you sure you’re up to it?” I said with a smirk.

He swung me onto his lap, “Oh baby, I fully intend to get in a hell of a lot of practise between now and then to make sure I am ready and primed!”

“Promises, promises,” I giggled into his neck as I licked his mark, I could feel him growing hard, his hands began massaging my skin under my top, I could feel myself heat up again.

“Oh baby, you have no idea what I plan for you, how much I plan for you over the next few weeks, I always keep my promises,” and with that he kissed me deeply and we proceeded to make sweet passionate love yet again.
