Chapter 13

Ray 

Ray straightened her red dress with lace sleeves, looking in the mirror. She had her long hair up in a curly braid that turned into a ponytail, and was also wearing red high heels. Even though Ray acted like she hated Dunky, she had feelings for him. Not the 'I like you' kind of feelings, the 'I like-like you' kind. So going on, what the others call a date, with Dunky made her quite nervous.

Ray suddenly heard a honk that sounded more like a dying duck. Ray smiled to herself. She loved Dunky for being his own quirky self. She ran out and said hi to Dunky, trying to act annoyed so nobody found out about her secret crush other than the girls.

"So, where are we going?" she asked, sitting in the passenger's seat of Dunkys mustang. "I was thinking of Brickbucks and going to the park to watch the sunset. What do you think?"

 "I could use some caffeine." Ray told him. Dunky started driving to Brickbucks when she got a text.

The Girls

Maya : So... hows the date with your crush?

Dianna : OOHH, tell me!!!

Ray : So far nothing has happened, NOW LEAVE ME ALONEEEEEEEE

Maya : Ugh, fine

Ray chuckled at the thought of her friends wanting to know what's happening in her love life. A few minutes later Dunky arrived at Brickbucks and they ordered their coffee. Then they got out of the car and walked to the park, setting a checkered blanket on the grass.

Ray sat down, worried about Jade. Is she okay? She was worried they would never get her back. That they would have to fight her.

Dunky seemed to have noticed that Ray was worried about something. "Are you okay?" he asked. Ray shook her head. "It's just, balancing the ninja and the real life stuff is hard. Especially when Jade got kidnapped and turned evil. I'm really worried." Ray put her face into her knees. Soon she felt a hand on hers. "If you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm here." Dunky said with a smile.

Ray laid her head on Dunkys shoulder and they both watched the sunset. At about 8 they returned back to Axels place. "Thanks for tonight." Ray said with a light blush. Dunky smiled. "No problem."

Ray waved and shut the door, and as soon as he left she started to squeal. Everything was perfect.

Axel

Axel watched the girls fangirl over Ray's date. "Watcha doing?" says a voice. Axel turns around and sees Kirby. "Just waiting for something interesting to happen, other than the girls squealing about Ray's date."

Kirby chuckles. "Um, since you are a super intelligent nindroid, do you mind helping me with something?" Kirby asked, with a light blush. "Sure." Axel replied, curious to see what he needed. "Well, the other day when Maya got upset and ran off she was crying, and I admitted I liked her. Ever since it's just been awkward. Yesterday we were talking and I was, uhm, about to kiss her. Everything was perfect until Adrian burst in on accident."

"Wait, does that mean more fangirling?" Axel asked, with a not so amused look. Kirby nodded. "Anyways, what can I do to not make it awkward?"

Axel though for a minute before answering. "Take her on a fun, romantic date. All girls love that, right?" Kirby smiled. "Thanks bud, I knew I could count on you!" Kirby ran out of the room, leaving Axel all by himself.

Axel walked out the same way Kirby did, totally not to see what he does with Maya. "so.." he heard Kirby chuckle. He looked around the corner of his house to see Maya and Kirby talking. "I was wondering if you wanted to, you know." He chuckled, "go out or something?"
