Chapter 32

Adrian

"Adrian, why don't you go and tell Jade that Reese isn't doing well." Maya told her brother. He nodded and ran down the hall. He climbed up the stairs and took a right, arriving at Jade's door. Even though he watched Jade leave, he had just assumed she had gone to her room.
    "Jade?" he asked as he knocked on the door. He waited but an answer never came. "Oh come on, we're all upset but that doesn't mean you shut us out." Still no answer. Adrian groaned. "I'm coming in." He turned the handle and walked into her room. It was messy but empty. Jade was nowhere to be seen.
    "Where is Jade?"

Jade

Jade threw open the door, to be faced with stone warriors and droids. She narrowed her blood red eyes at them, "where is the Overlord?" She asked in anger.
"Why should we tell you?" A stone warrior asked. Jade walked up to them and punched right through them. She shook the dirt and rocks from her hand, and the warrior fell to the ground. "Wow, the first one that actually died," she whispered to herself. She then looked at the others, " does anyone wanna be next? Or will you show me to him?"
The warriors and droids pointed to a dark hallway, so Jade ran down in, followed by Morrow. There was a familiar door at the end of it, so she kicked it down. Her grandfather and the Overlord were there. The overlord had a body, and they looked at her. Garmadon smiled, creepily, "you are back."
"You said you wouldn't hurt Reese." She growled. Garmadon shrugged, "we said a lot of things." Jade clenched her fist, "you will regret this," she said, "don't forget I'm your blood, I'm also the great granddaughter of the first spinjitzu master, and I'm a formling. I am more powerful than the both of you combined."
Morrow entered, and the Overlord looked at him, "you let her turn on us?" He rasped. Morrow put his hands up, "in my defense I never asked to be brought back, you just brought me back." Garmadon looked back at Jade, who was about to snap. Her eyes were fully red, and her hands lit gold and green.
"You will pay." she growled. Garmadon summoned his elemental power and shot Jade. She slammed against the wall and passed out. Morrow gasped.
"Don't worry," Garmadon said, "she'll be absolutely fine. Put some cuffs with soothing oils on and return her to the mansion before the ninja track her down and find our new base."
A stone warrior dragged her away. Morrow floated up closer to Garmadon. "What did you do to Reese anyways?" he asked. An evil, crooked smile grew on Garmadons face. "I trapped some of my power inside of him. As long as it's there, he'll get sicker and sicker. Then he'll... die."
Morro gasped. "If he dies, then Jade will kill you. You have to get it out of him!" Garmadon laughed. "You want to save the enemy? Haven't you always wanted power? If you let Reese die it'll be one less ninja to take care of, and you will get closer to getting all the power you want." Morro sighed. "I understand." he floated off after the stone warriors.

Morrow

The ghost picked up Jade and floated her back to the mansion and sat her in the bed. After an hour or so the girl stirred in her bed and woke up. She rubbed her eyes open, "what.. what happened?" She asked.
Morrow gave her a weird look, " You don't remember?" "Remember what?" Jade asked. Morrow shook his head, "nothing," he bit back his tongue, wondering how she would react to Reese. "Anyways, why don't you go check with Adrian I could hear him asking for you earlier," he suggested.
Jade sighed and nodded, "I just have this bad feeling that something happened when we were gone, you know?" She said, Morrow bit back his tongue and nodded his head. Jade got out of bed and brushed off her shirt, "I'm going to go see Reese, I can't wait to show him how far I am in hunter x hunter."
She started to get up but Morrow floated in front of the door. "I'm afraid that Reese needs some rest at the moment, so you can visit him later." Jade raised an eyebrow. "Are you hiding something from me?" Morrow shook his head, "no, it's just late, everyone is asleep at the moment."
Jade tilted her head, "you sure? Dianna never sleeps, I'm sure she is a vampire. I'll go check on her!" Her green eyes lit.
Morrow barricaded the door with his arms. Jade sighed, " you think that will stop me? I swear you are acting so weird." She opened the door and walked right through him.

Jade
She walked down the hallway to Dianna's door, and knocked on it. She bet Dianna was watching Attack on Titan so she might as well watch with her.
Dianna opened the door, the circles under her eyes looked darker than usual. "Uh, hey?" She said. Jade smiled, "hey, are you watching anything? I thought I could watch with you since we never hang out." She smiled. Dianna raised an eyebrow, "why aren't your eyes red? I figured you would be mad."
Jade tilted her head, "huh?" Dianna shook her head, "never mind, I guess we both need a break from earlier. I got Jujitsu Kaisan on." She let Jade in. They sat on her bed and turned on the next episode. "So," Jade started, "who is your favorite character?" She asked. Dianna shrugged, "I guess Gojo."
Jade giggled, "true he is pretty! But Sakuna is pretty cool as well. Honestly I don't care that he is the bad guy, I think he is awesome!" Dianna sighed, "ok Jade, I know you are trying to cheer me up, but I'm really concerned for you right now. Are you ok?" Jade nodded her head, "yeah I'm fine! Why wouldn't I be?"
"Because Reese is dying."

Reese

Reese couldn't tell where he was, only that it was dark. He scanned around, finding a bright light. He followed it, entering a room. What he saw was beautiful. It was a land of beauty and happiness. There was mountains beyond what he could see, rivers following a flow and the sun beaming down.
He looked around and noticed Jade. He gasped and ran to her, "Jade!" She turned, but this wasn't the Jade he was just with the other day. Her eyes were all green, just like how they used to be. "Jade, when did your eyes return to normal?"
" Finally you are awake!" Jade smiled, "and what do you mean? You were asleep for a long time, are you feeling alright?" The blonde put a hand to his head. "You feel fine. Anyways, we should go on a hike. I hear there's an ancient city on top of the mountain. The others are already there." Reese raised an eyebrow, "what? Wait, but what is going on? What happened to your eyes?"
Jade raised an eyebrow herself, "Reese are you sure you're ok?" Reese shook his head, "it must have all been a dream, well I guess we can go meet the others." He smiled and nodded.
The two of them dashed to the top of the hill and there stood the rest of the group. Ray was talking with Maya and Adrian... well he was Adrian. Ray looked over and smiled, "Hey bro, glad you could make it." Reese waved, "hey, where is Kirby, Axel, Dianna, and Robin?" He asked.
Maya looked at him weird, " Kirby and Axel? We haven't seen them in years, and who is Robin and Dianna?" Adrian walked up to them, "ok, there is something up with you guys. This.. this isn't right." He backed up scared.
"What do you mean?" Jade asked. He pointed at her, "you.. you are part evil, and you," he pointed to Maya, "You and Kirby are together and you," he turned to Adrian, "you put blue dye in her hair! And Ray! You and Robin are inseparable!"
"I'm what?" Jade asked, a bit offended. "Uhm, yeah last I checked I have never dyed my hair," Maya crossed her arms, "plus, I don't think my mom would ever let me dye it." Ray shrugged, "uhm, I don't know who Robin is."
Reese shook his head, "this..this isn't rigjt." He sighed, "I need to get home." "But, you are home." Maya said.
