Chapter 35

Jade

"Okay, just watch!" Jade told the others. They eagerly watched. "Reese, if you can hear me, move your big toes." Reese's big toes began to wiggle. Everyone started to laugh. Dianna began to cry and buried her face into Reese's chest. Ray and Robin embraced each other, then blushed.

Jade smiled, "Reese if you are ok wiggle both of your toes." She said. Only one of his toes moved. Jade bit her inner lip, a bit worried but just figured he heard her wrong. No one seemed to hear.

Reese was going to be ok.

Reese

"What are you doing?" Reese asked. "I'm wiggling our toes." Alastor said, "you heard Jade, we wiggle our toes."Reese sighed, "whatever."

They made it back to the control center of the brain, and Alastor had started to show him around. "That's where I sleep," he pointed to bed, " and food will just appear, I mean I don't get hungry or anything and it does not affect our body at all, but hey free cookies!"

"Wait, really?" Reese questioned. He then thought really hard and an orange soda appeared in front of him, "hey! It works!" He smiled, taking a sip.

"Told you," Alastor said, " ok, we have fixed every problem but one.." he mumbled. Reese smiled, enjoying the time with his new friend. They had gone to the past, future, present, all to fix his memory's. "Ok," Reese smiled with a nod, "so what's the last problem?"

Alastor hesitated for a minute, "me." He said, "I'm your other half in a way.." Reese looked at him weird, "hey dude, I'm flattered and all but I have a girlfriend-,"

" OH GOD NO!" Alastor yelled, "I mean that we are bonded together and I'm like a part of you! Not that I wanna date you!" He fixed it. Reese flushed pink from embarrassment, "oh uh, ok sorry." Alastor sighed and shook his head, "it's fine. Anyways, "I have my own memory before coming here." He said, "and there is one we need to fix."

Reese nodded, "ok, where is it?" He asked. Alastor bit his lip and started to walk through a new hallway, "follow me." Reese did as he was told. The hallway was called "Alter Memory"

There was only one door. Alastor stood in front of the door, "where are the other doors?" Alastor sighed, "this is my only memory before coming here, I warn you, it's a bit weird." He said.

He then shakily opened the door. It was a living room, a nice small one, there was a girl who looked almost like Dianna, besides the skin color. But the hair, the eyes, the face proportions, everything was perfect. Alastor walked over to the girl, " hey Danni," he said. Danni smiled, "Hey Alastor, what's wrong? You look upset.

He signed, "uhm, I dunno how to tell you this, but... I'm moving." He said. Danni went silent for a minute, "what? You're... you're leaving me?" She asked. He nodded, " I really want to stay with you, but I don't have a choice." He said. He held her hand and kissed her cheek, "I'll miss you."

Reese watched, feeling bad for Alastor. He then looked around, everything had seemed old. Not in a bad way, but it seems that they went far into the past, like in the 1900's.

Alastor sighed again, "I love you, and I will write to you every day, I promise." Danni smiled, "thank you hun, I'll write back, one day we'll be together again." Alastor nodded, "yes, one day."

Just then a figure walked into the room. The memory was fuzzy so Reese couldn't make them out. "Alastor! Why is this girl back here!" A loud voice boomed. "Father it's Danni, my love please don't do anything!" Danni hid behind Alastor. The father yelled back, " Get her out I never want to see her again! This is why we are moving!" He yelled. Danni then slipped something into Alastor's hand, "I'll go, goodbye Al." She sighed, and walked out.

The memory ended and the both of them walked out. Reese looked at Alastor, "hey, are you ok?" He asked, " yeah," Alastor nodded, " I told her, and that's what I had to do." He opened his hand and there was a necklace in it. "Wait, that looks like one of Dianna's necklace." He said.

Alastor smirked, "you guys were destined."

Dianna

" Destined..." Reese mumbled. Dianna looked over at her boyfriend, the room had gone silent, all eyes on Reese. Just then he had roused from his place in the bed and wiped his eyes, "ugh.. what..?" He mumbled.

He then looked around and saw all the wires on him. "Why is this here?" He started to pull them all off. Dianna gasped, "Reese?" She asked.

Reese looked at her, "Danni- I mean Dianna?" He asked. Jade then walked up to Reese, "Reese? You are. Awake?" She asked, "it's a birthday miracle." She breathed out. "Birthday?" Reese questioned, "what day is it?"

"December first, your birthday." Dianna said. Reese nodded, "right, my birthday." Something seemed off about Reese, but he was just in a coma like state so Dianna just shrugged it off.

He got out of the bed and stood on his legs. He looked around at his body, a bit confused, "uhm, I'm going to the bathroom." He said, then darted off.

Everyone was dead silent. What just happened?

Alastor

Alastor ran as fast as he could to the bathroom and locked the door behind him. He looked in the mirror. "I'm fronting.. I'm fronting.." he breathed out. He ran his fingers through Reese's hair and took a deep breath, "hey, it's fine, Reese will be back at some point, I just gotta pretend to be him until then."

He took a deep breath then left the bathroom. He didn't know where to go so he went back to Reese's room. We entered to see Ray, Dianna, and Jade. "Uh hey?" He said nervously. "Just hey?" Ray asked, "Reese you were half dead and now you are just better? How?" "Uhm.." he mumbled, "I guess I just am? The power of your love?" Alastor guessed.

Dianna bit her inner lip, feeling unsure. "You ok?" Alastor asked. She nodded, "you just don't seem like yourself." She said. Alastor nervously laughed, scratching the back of his neck, "heh.. I mean it's not like I'm someone else living inside of Reese's- I mean my head."

Reese

"You are." Reese mumbled. He was inside his brain, watching out of his eyes. "Alastor if you can hear me. You suck at acting."
