Chapter 30

Ray

Ray ran as fast as she could. Her dad was trailing behind her, they were running faster than everyone else. They know that the Overlord has Reese, and they have to save him. But they should calm down, Reese was strong.

They continued to run, Dianna followed behind them while the rest was behind her. Axel had managed to catch up to Ray and Kai, and tried to talk to them. "Ray, I understand that Reese is in trouble but we will get split up if you guys run any farther!" Ray shook her head and kept going, "I don't care! I'm going to save him!"

Kai smirked, "that's my girl. Let's go save your brother." They two kept going until they reached the city. They looked around until they noticed Dunky hiding behind a trash can. "Dunky?" Ray asked. Dunky saw Ray and his eyes lit with hope, "oh thank goodness you are here!" Ray nodded, "are you okay? Have you seen Reese?"

The brown ninja nodded, "I'm good, and yes, they have Reese and the top of borg tower, it doesn't look good." Ray nodded, "thanks Dunky, help citizens get away from the droids and warriors, we will deal with them and the overlord." She explained. She then looked back at her friends, "my dad, Adrain, and I will go get Reese, Axel, Kirby, fight the robots and stones. Dianna and Maya help with the citizens."

"What should I do?" Ray turned to see Robin behind her, " Robin? What are you doing here?" The auburn shrugged, " I heard they have your brother so I came to help." Ray blushed a bit and nodded, "great you can come with us." Kai raised an eyebrow, "are you sure Ray?" The red ninja looked back at her dad with a scary look in her eye. Kai nodded, "Yup! Yup! Welcome to the team!" He nervously laughed. "Thanks," she smiled. The groups parted ways and they ran to the tower.

Adrain stopped them before entering, "okay, so there is a chance that this door is locked so let me open it." He smirked, having everyone back up. Everyone looked at him weird as Kai silently prayed to himself. Adrain ran head first into the door, it opened and he tripped badly and fell face first into the floor, "well, it's open." He groaned. Ray rolled her eyes and Robin picked the bruised boy off of the floor, "let's go, and by the way-," Kai looked at Adrian, "you have less brain cells than your dad." Adrain smiled, "who said I had brain cells." Kai face plamed , and the group set off again.

They continued to the elevator and set it for the highest floor. Kai sighed, "this would be a great time to have Maya, she could zap this thing and make it go fast!" Robin grinned, "leave that to me, I know my way around technology." She then pulled apart the panel and started to rearrange the wires. She then put it back and hit the top floor. She walked over to Ray and grabbed her hand, the doors slowly shutting, "hold on." She warned.

And without even thinking, Ray felt herself going high in the air. Adrian squealed and grabbed onto the railing in the elevator, while Ray clung to Robin. Kai just stood there. In a few seconds they had reached the top. Once out of the elevator Adrain began to question his uncle, "how on earth were you not dying in there!?" He semi-yelled. Kai shrugged, "I've been in that situation before." The four of them ran out of the elevator, looking for Borg's office. They ran in, and Ray felt her mouth go dry. "Reese?"

Dunky

Dunky had to do what Ray said. Even if she didn't feel the same way he did, he cared for her and would do anything for her to be happy. He was told to help out Dianna and Maya rescue people who were in danger. He heard a faint cry come from the alleyway. He turned and noticed movement, " Hey Dianna, I'll be right back!" he called.

He ran in to see a little girl hiding, fear coated her eyes. He gave her a fond smile, "hey there, what's your name?" he questioned. The little girl looked at him, "Im uh.. I'm Zoe." she choked out. "Well hi Zoe, my name is Dunky, do you know where your parents are?" he asked. The little girl shook her head, "No, I was with my mom, but we got separated." she said. He nodded, "okay, my friend Dianna and I will help you, don't worry." The little girl smiled, "thank you!" She hugged him, smiling. Dunky smiled and hugged her back. He felt like a real ninja.

Jade

"Oh.. my.. First spinjitzu master." Jade said, looking at her reflection. She then concentrated and turned back to her normal form. She grinned, "okay, that's kinda cool." she admitted. She then continued to go back and forth between the forms, as if it was some sort of game. That was until she was startled. "Jade?" "wha!?" she jumped back, a little green flame came out of her hand. She turned to see Morrow looking at her, "we get it, you are a dragon now, that means we can leave and go back home now? Right?"

Jade nodded, "yeah lets go! We can fly! I'll land near the village so you can put the cuffs back on." Morrow nodded, "yeah, the sooner the better I guess."

Jade then shifted back into her dragon form and allowed Morrow to climb on her back. She then flew just outside the village, it didn't take too long since they were flying. Once landed Jade went back to normal and the ghost put the cuffs back on her arms. She sighed, but didnt let it go to her head. The two of them walked back, but once in the village, Morrow went invisible.

Akita noticed Jade and smiled, " Hey Jade, what animal did you get?" she asked. Jade shrugged, "well, I don't know if it's because of my genes or something, but I uh.. I got a dragon." Akita raised an eyebrow, "can I see?" she asked. Jade nodded, then slowly shifted into the dagon form. Everyone stopped and stared at her. Jade didn't enjoy the attention so she went back to normal, "yeah, I'm a dragon. Can we go back now? I miss Reese."

Akita nodded, "yeah just give me some time to say goodbye and prepare the portal. Also, there is someone I want you to meet." Jade tilted her head, "really? Who?"

"Your uncle."

Ray

The master of fire couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her brother was in a tube, barely standing, while the overlord was in a box, being zapped, with what looked like Reese's power. Kai's eyes widened, " oh no.. no again." Adrian looked at his uncle, "again? What do you mean again? What is happening?" he asked.

Kai sighed, "back when the overlord came back a second time, he needed Lloyd's golden power to have his own body, and now he is doing it with Reese. Lloyd nearly died, we can't let the same thing happen to Reese!" he said. "Ray, Robin, get him out of there, Adrian and I will deal with the overlord." He said, grabbing Adrain by the arm. "Oh," Adrian started, "looks like we are going on a trip."

Ray then ran to Reese then banged her fist on the glass, trying to get his attention, "Reese!" she yelled. No answer. She then tried to break open the glass, banging on it over and over, pounding her fist against the glass. "Ray." Robin stopped her, "try to melt it." she suggested. Ray nodded and rubbed her hands together to get them heated up. She placed them against the glass and lit her hands on fire.

While that was happening Adrain being Adrain tripped over a wire, causing a mess to happen. Long story short, a fire had started, but the glass still had not melted. "What do we do?!" Adrain asked in fear. "You are the master of water!" Robin yelled at him, flames circling around her and Ray, "Put it out or we are all dead!" Adrain nodded, and sprayed water everywhere. Soon all that's left were baby flames. The overlord was nowhere to be seen. Kai then pulled out a sword and started to attempt to slice open the tube.

He managed to weaken the tube and push it away from his son. Ray pulled her brother from the ashes, his breath was uneasy and his face was scared from the fire. Ray hugged her brother and picked him up, "We have to get him back to Zane's. Now."

Jade

"What did you think of your uncle?" Akita questioned. Jade shrugged, "He seems pretty cool I guess, but I'm glad we are going home and I will get to see Reese, I didn't know it was going to take you a few hours to make the portal."

They walked back through to be right in front of the mansion. They entered but it felt different. They noticed Maya and Dianna sitting on the couch, they seemed upset, as if something terrible had happened, but they were only gone for two days. Jade walked up to the two of them, "Uhm, are you guys okay?" she asked. Dianna looked up at Jade, tears in her eyes.

Adrian came into the room, his arms all bandaged, "Jade!" he gasped. "Adrian?" she turned over to see him, "what is going on?" Axel, Kirby, Ray, and Robin then entered the room. They all looked at Jade. Guilt and worry covered over them, and that's when it hit Jade.

"Where is Reese?"
