When one thinks of the concept of a power couple, the names of Katsuki Bakugo and Y/n Bakugo were some of the first to come to mind. Now obviously to the couple you guys were known as Ground Zero and Y/H/n, but nonetheless that sentiment stood. It was obvious to anyone who could understand basic social cues that the two of you were madly in love however odd it may be to anyone who knew you two personally.

At UA when you first met Bakugo, he seemed like just another over-confident, brash, douchebag who was only here for the glory and to compensate for something. To him, you seemed like a strange mix of demure and shy, yet aloof and a loudmouth. It was difficult for him to place you in one category or another and it seemed to piss him off that he just couldn't pin you down. All of your first and much of your second years were filled with nonsensical arguing over pointless topics. He would get mad, you would throw in a witty comment that was just funny enough to get a laugh but just sharp enough to attack his ego, then the fight would start. Deep down, you enjoyed this early repartee, but you never saw it as anything more than playfully teasing a classmate. Unbeknownst to you, Katsuki would grow to cherish these moments as they were the only time where you really spoke without being called upon, and for some reason he liked to hear you speak.

However, once the middle of your second year came, things changed drastically in the class. The league of villains had been stupid enough to attack the buildings surrounding the school, though they stayed away from any campus property. Unfortunately, they got away, but even worse, your mother worked at an office just off of campus. Her death impacted you greatly and by association the rest of 2-A. At this point they had all been through so much together that it was insane to think that they wouldn't rally around you when you were suffering. Surprising everyone, Bakugo was one of the people who inserted himself most in the situation. He'd go out on late night walks with you when you needed to weep but didn't want to wake others up, he'd help you study when your grades would fall in a subject, and he especially served as a sparring and training partner to get your mind off of things.

It was this time period that began to foster your relationship to the shock of everyone. You saw a side of him that had only ever been seen by his closest friends like Kirishima and...... well just Kirishima. He wasn't gentle by any means, but he wasn't abrasive and that was a start. You began to open up to him and trust him more, him following suit and one day you realized you had feelings for him. It certainly was awkward going to school with him for the next few weeks, working out with him after school and watching his defined muscles fire on all cylinders. Little did you know, but he had felt the same way about you for months and he could barely pull his eyes from you as you busted your ass lifting weights and running at top speed.

It was New Years eve and you were out as a class for some good old-fashioned partying. It had been the majority vote to go to a karaoke place, rent out a few rooms and just party till the sun came up. Both you and Bakugo had been nervous at the start of the night, thinking the same thing but completely oblivious to the others obvious mimicry. However, as the class began to let off some steam, and the mix of sugary soda plus exhaustion set in, your anxieties fell away.
