~~Zoophobia~~

~~1. The intense or irrational fear of animals~~

Your mom was the Pro-hero Ray and your dad owned of the small shop 'The Pet Em-PURR-ium'. You took after your mother when it came to quirks, but your brother was all your dad. Your mom had the quirk spotlight which allowed her to shoot a powerful beam of light and heat out of her mouth and eyes. Dad, however, had the quirk Menagerie, which caused him to give off pheromones that would attract any animal that he wished and he could have some semblance of control over them. One day M/n had gone in the shop to find a cat for her kid sister as a birthday presence, and D/n had accidentally won her over with his kindness and helpfulness.

The three-year age difference was made plain when anyone would look at you or even spend five minutes with you two. Senichi was impish at best and down right evil at the worst. He spent as much time as he could trying to show you new animals he found, which would've been nice if he were interested in puppies or kittens but no, instead he would shove agitated snakes and diseased rats in your four-year-old face. Unnamed anxiety in your mind began to blossom like a weed in the deep-set parts of your mind whenever you say an animal. You grew up in your grand-parents home because one day when he was 15, you snapped at your brother. Fed up with his antics, a blast erupted from your hands and left a scar down Senichi's arm. He wasn't terribly injured, he had to wear a bandage over his bicep and shoulder for a few weeks, however you were the one who was in deep shit. Grounded for months, you and your parents decided it was time for you to leave the home and move in with your grandparents. It wasn't fair in your mind. The antagonist won the right to stay at home while the victim was forced to relocate, the villain won, but that fueled your drive to be a hero even more, to stand up for the downtrodden.

From that day on, you were a pariah. Popular Senichi had friends whose parents had friends, who warned other parents of the "temperamental Y/n". Even when you found a middle school that didn't completely believe the lies of the PTA parents, the kids believed in their parents warning. Like, who wouldn't believe their parents having their best interest in mind. People would either avoid you like the week-old slice of cheese on the basketball court or, even worse, they would pretend to be your friend so that they could try to get you to lash out, which you never did, but no one would listen. Eventually you just kept to yourself, finding friend to be a useless thing; an ugly lie.

~Timeskip because of chapter 221 and 222~

A cold winter gust threw open the door letting you inside. The one free ear heard the quiet whispers of the house, but your grandparents were nowhere in sight. You rounded the corner to see them sitting, staring off into nothing. They looked up at you and smiled warmly.

"Sit down dearie." A kind motioning nod of your grandmother to sit down opposite them was slightly nerve wracking, you hadn't done anything that bad recently.

"We signed you up for the UA Entrance Exams." GM/n said. What the fu-.

"You have a strong quirk and an even stronger will. With a kind heart to back it up, it's only natural that you would become a hero." You pulled out your other earbud to converse with your grandparents.
