~~Glossophobia~~

~~1. The intense or irrational fear of being on stage or in front of the camera.~~

"Shit, I hate being on stage." You whispered contemptuously under your breath.

"Did you have something to add Y/n?" Mr. Aizawa called you out and your head jerked up to see the rest of your class looking at you. A mortified flush came over your face and you meekly lowered your head while slightly shaking it. Your hair served as a good cushion for your face to the desk and a curtain to protect you from the inaudible titters of your classmates. You instead tuned into the dialogue of your class representative as he explained what was going on over the next few months.

"Alright," began Iida again, "for the school fair, we have tallied up the votes we took last week and we will be doing a production, specifically Robin Hood. It will be representative of our willingness to do what is right in the future, especially as we-"

"We get it, shut your trap." Bakugo Interrupted the bamboozled rep, "tell us how to audition."

"How dare you interrupt me!" Iida held his hand to his chest dramatically, "But very well. The way we will be choosing parts is by first we have a selected panel of students who have already opted out of acting on stage and instead, are going to be costuming, working with props, doing technical stuff, etcetera. Everyone must audition and come to us later today and we will evaluate their audition. Then we will pick the top two from each and show them to you tomorrow and you will all vote on it." It seemed convoluted, but you weren't one to judge. You had a sick feeling in your stomach when Iida went back to his desk and the bell rang. You didn't want to be on stage but apparently it was too late to opt out. You walked determinedly over to Iida's desk where he was slinging on his bag and talking to Ochacco and Mina. You tapped him on the shoulder.

"L/n! What do you need?"

"I was wondering if I could do my audition now. I just want to get it over with." Iida looked at you with a mixture of disappointment and happiness.

"Well, we are hosting them back at the dorms, but you can be third in line. I was just talking to Aishido and Uraraka about it, Aishido claimed first audition and Uraraka wanted second. So, you can have third. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go set up for auditions so I must be on my way." He turned and walked hastily into the slowing flood of foot traffic. You went back to your desk and picked up your backpack and jacket. You looked down at your shuffling feet. You knew you were easily the best actress in the class, it was part of your damn quirk, which you had refused to tell anyone, even innocent Midoriya was not privy to it. However, you hated preforming, it was in all honesty your worst fear.

"Hey Y/n, wanna walk with us?" Sero had his head cocked slightly to match the angle yours was at. Ojiro stood by him with a closed book in in his hand. You smiled at your friends. Happy to see that they were still there for you at least.

"Sure!" You always walked with them but every day they would always wait and ask, "What book do you have today Ojiro?" His face lit up as he talked about the dystopian Brave New World that was written a few hundred years ago. It was horrific and intriguing at the same time. He was telling you about the plot when your mind drifted off into what would happen in the audition. You would probably have a few minutes to read the script and memorize the sections they told you to. Then you would have to preform it, all on video. Your head spun and you got dizzy causing you to collapse and just sit dazedly on the lawn leading up to Heights Alliance.
