Here's part two!

"You can uncover your eyes now." You tapped him on the shoulder as you informed him of the decency of the situation.

"I am so sorry! I didn't mean to accidentally violate you like that." A genuine apology gushed out of his mouth as the two of you strolled away from the scene of your escape.

"Don't worry about it, this is the most fun I've had in six years." Recalling the week of the inter-kingdom summit brought a small smile to both of your faces.

"Who was that with you earlier. I vaguely remember your mother from all those years ago and that wasn't her unless she got cursed by a witch on your way around the nation.

"Unfortunately she wasn't cursed; however that swine is my stepmother. My mother died in childbirth with my younger sister two years ago."

"Ah yes, I remember hearing something about that. My condolences." You nodded.

"Thank you. She was a wonderful woman."

"I'm sure she was." He looked at you with caring, remorseful eyes. You grinned back up at him, "On another topic, why is your hair part black and part red?" He brought his left hand up to hair and ran it through the multi-colored locks.

"Ah that. When I was little, we visited the nation of Gadaus across the sea and the prince there has two colors of hair, half red and half white. When I saw the natural red, I wanted it so badly that my parents found someone with the talent of changing hair color. In recent years, they have told me I have to start growing up in my style and told me I had to cycle out of red and back into my natural black tone.

"I see, that is an interesting story for sure. When we met, I was fascinated with how someone could have naturally red hair," You paused and decided to go over the top. You swept your hand up to your face and put on a melodramatic voice, "but it seems it was all a lie."

He enjoyed your performance and decided to match it with an apologetic tone that not even prisoners have, "How can I ever make up for my crime?"

"You can take me for a stroll every night for a week," you stopped and turned to face him. You poked him in the chest, "and you have to be in correspondence with me for life." He smiled mischievously.

"That seems like a long commitment, maybe I could get a kiss instead." You got flustered and stepped back.

"No, absolutely not! We have to be courting first." He took your hand in his,

"Then I shall hope we will in the future."

"It's a deal." The two of you exploded with hilarity, so much that you could not stop. And that was how it was for the rest of the week. By day, you were locked up in your room when you could, alone and waiting for the night to come when you would escape into the night with Eijiro as he requested to be called. The final palace to visit was more solitude as the family there had an heir who was under the age of three. When you returned to the castle, there was a letter from Lady Kirishima waiting on your desk. You grabbed your letter opener and saw that lo and behold, it was a letter from Eijiro. He explained that he was using his mother's name so that it would not arouse suspicion from your mother if she happened to see it.

For the next three years you stayed in touch with Eijiro. Throughout your guys' growing up, you found time to send a letter every week, waiting to hear the newest story. You told him all about the frustrations of being prepared to be Queen, he told you of all the adventures he went on. Every letter you received, you fell more and more in love with him. On the eve of your sixteenth birthday, you sent him a letter declaring your love to him. You had the letter express shipped so that the horse would arrive there with the letter that night. As you were getting ready for bed on the day after your birthday, you received an urgent knock at the door. You opened it up to the mail carrier with a letter in hand addressed to you with no indication of the sender. You grabbed it and shut the door. The blood rushing through your veins made your hands shaky as you opened the mystery letter. Inside of the envelope was a piece of paper and a necklace with a silver tree adorned by many rubies in the branches. The letter read as follows,
