Okay guys, I am actually really proud of this!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quirk: Absolute Hearing- User has the ability to...hear really well...this is so self explanatory. Why the hell am I even writing this?
"Colonel L/n, are you okay?"
A distant call brought you back to the very real discussion you were having with several other high-ranking detectives and a few pro heroes about bringing down the prolific thief and Mafia boss that was the villain Denki Kaminari, also known as Surge.
"Yes, of course. Just thinking about the plan for today." You nodded, not too vigorously, just enough to convince them that you were just having an off moment. The chief of your station stood up and walked to the white board that was covered in photos, boxes, dots, and lines.
"Alright," She said, "Let's go over the plan one more time. Colonel L/n is going to continue her undercover position as a potential buyer of some stolen jewelry from the Royal Family. She will be on the roof of the Colfer building, which has been rented by 'Awl for All' construction company. From the intel she recovered, there will be three people on each of the three floors below. However, on the bottom floor there will be 5 people keeping guard. To combat their numbers, we will have different groups on standby. Squadron A, headed by me, will be starting from the bottom and working our way up. There will be two snipers on the buildings to the south and to the west. A three-block perimeter is ready to be applied at any time if necessary. Squads B and C led by Creati and Red Riot respectively will be on the ground around the corners and prepared to move in at any moment. Is that clear?" Unanimous nods teemed in the room. A sickened feeling came to your stomach, you weren't sure if it was nerves or something else but, it was hard to hide on your face, but you were able to do it.
"Alright, everyone, if there is anything else you need to grab, grab it now. Hopefully Colonel Y/n will be able to take him in but be prepared for anything." Everyone started muttering and making little notes as to if they had the right caliber of bullets. You went with your grocery bag to the bathroom and got changed into the outfit picked for your cover today. It was a pair of black tight jeans, combat boots, a translucent white tank top, and an olive bomber jacket. Of course, you had a knife in your left boot, a gun your right, a dagger in the lining of your briefcase, and in the sole of your boot, a small compartment opened on each, one housing ammo and another gun, the other held a sedative. All the weaponry was standard protocol, so you were only mildly bothered by it.
You walked out of the bathroom and down the stairs with your dark leather briefcase in hand, which was doing everything in its power not to shake so bad as to drop the inked money. You reached the dark SUV belonging to your chief and climbed into the passenger side, she sat on her phone, probably texting her husband. You instinctively reached for your left hand which had a little ring tattoo on the ring finger. She set her phone down and grabbed the wheel. It was a silent drive, tension buzzing in the air. You were too nervous to start conversation and she was too focused. When you reached the front of the building, she stopped the car and looked you in the eye.
"Hey, get coffee with me later." She said, completely out of the blue, but you knew what it meant. You reached for the small "diamond" pendant on your necklace and pressed the back twice, effectively turning it off. The small jewel doubled as a camera and communications system that you could hear with your quirk. She turned to face you and without hesitancy, gave you an order.
"Y/n, you are the most capable officer here, through thick and thin, you have been consistent and are able to get the job done when you need to," she paused to take a deep breath, "which is why I trust to ask you this favor. Kill Surge. I know we are to take him in per protocol, but if he was accidentally killed in fire fight; you would be doing the city such a big favor." Her serious face shocked you. The moral, righteous, upstanding citizen of a cop who would call people out for any ethical discrepancy, was asking you, her right-hand woman, to kill a person. She was asking you to break the protocol she loved so much that it was basically her husband. You didn't answer. Only grabbed the briefcase from the floor and exited the car, shutting the door with a light slam.
