How does a stranger walk into my life

It's crazy how you went from being just some girl

Falling concrete sent dirt and shit spraying, I quickly raised my arms to cover my eyes and keep them as clear as I could while I ran forward.

"Is anyone here?" I shouted out scanning the area as best as I could with all the commotion down on the main street hundreds of feet below me. I don't know why the hell I was put on rescue duty, especially when my fists can blow shit up so easily, not to mention what the media calls my 'abrasive' personality. I heard no voices so I ran toward the exit without a second thought.

"WATCH OUT!" I raised my hands and before I could explode anything, I was surrounded by an entrancing clear sphere that looked that a rather soapy bubble. Panting at the stairs was a beautiful girl in a hero costume. Her h/l hair was put up in a tight bun, but I could see that she had been particularly active by the small hairs that stuck out like h/c quills all over her head. A thump next to me was caused by a large concrete block falling on the ground after supposedly sliding off the top of the bubble, which promptly vanished.

"Can't have the number two hero dying on my watch can I." She said as she finished regaining her breath, a small smile graced her lips, only to fade back to the straight-faced analytical look of a professional hero, "We have to search the building quicker, it's structural integrity is failing fast." She covered herself in a bubble and started floating in a bubble up the stairs at a rate much faster than I expected.

"I don't need any damn help!" I chased after her up the stairs, "either let me do this on my own, or let me go down and start kicking some League of Villains ass!" By the time I caught her she had exited her bubble and was already helping an elderly man and his cat into it.

"I don't have any choice in the matter, it's what my agency told me to do so either step up and do your damn job like a real man or continue grumbling, I don't care, just help me find people. This floor had a lot of residents."

"Fine." I followed suit of the girl and burst into rooms quickly grabbing whoever was left and putting them into a shuttle bubble that she was controlling. Her breathing was labored as she sent the last person down in a bubble, and she closed her eyes tight as she reached out with her left hand and stabilized herself with my shoulder.

"What's wrong?" It came out harsher than I anticipated and when she didn't respond for a second, I got a weird pang of pain in my chest but instead of crying or something else she collapsed into a crisscross sitting position.

"Sorry, I've just really been giving my quirk a good workout today, but I'm good." She heaved herself up and with a deep inhale, she bolted up the five flights of stairs to the final floor of the building. When I was nearly near, I heard her cry out in pain and it spurred me on faster.

"What the hell is going on up there?" I shouted when I could very nearly see her. When I did, my blood ran cold, she was in the hands of the leader of the League of Villains, Tomura Shigaraki. He had all but his pinkie fingers wrapped around her wrist and neck. We had been searching for him the entire battle, and to find him had been one of the goals of the entire operation.
